Hi Alice Rita welcome to my life this is the first show I seen I love plantains from New York born and raised eating them the way we were raised eating them which is when it’s its ripen just as they ripen when the sweetest they are beautiful but I like your encouragement of starting your own businessespecially when you have people around you that like to eat healthy snack again and thank you
This is great, the wife & kids love plantain chips, this would be so much more fun to make them with them, they are a little expensive here, so this will be a money saver!
Hi Rose, It's not sea water. You have to mix salt with water or boil some sugar in water. then you will use the water to gently sprinkle the plantain slices before them frying. (don't add too much water, so that the hot oil don't splash on you)
What we did was to make sure that you slice, the plantain before frying the next batch. Its easy to separate the slices if you cut them slightly thick, but botntoo thick. We cut the plantains, transfer them tona bowl and separate them immediately and the mix to fry in the oil. We DON'T cut all and then fry. That will make the unripe plantain to have dark colour.
