Anytime I tried to draw background, I'd keep telling myself "How come Krita is so awesome but the absolutely suck when it comes to 3d spaces creation?" I'm so happy I finally looked up this video! Turns out I don't have the assistant tool used here on my workspace, so I'll change my parameters and have fun
I went through a couple of tutorials on creating perspective lines, and came out of them still confused, but your clarity, simplicity and process of zooming in to the parts of the dashboards, were great. I now understand the steps. Liked and subscribed!

I have been looking for alternatives to photoshop that lets me draw in perspective without struggling . Because of this tutorial I will switch to krita for my digital art. Thank you so much
omg, I was going through a 30 day challenge and we hit 1p perspective. I saw the 2p option and another perspective option (and I guess just got a little overwhelmed with the options and couldn't comprehend how I was supposed to use them 😅 let out a big "OOOOOOOOH" when you showed how to do the vanishing point & parallel rulers one. THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏 the artist community is so sweet and i appreciate that y'all post videos like this because I think having a ton of tools is Great but sometimes u just need someone to explain how to use them since the docs can be a bit too confusing/technical.

Hey and thank you for this video. You really helped me out - and if you don't mind, I would like to give you some help in return. You spoke at 0:45 about the centering possibility in krita. There is a sooooo easy one.... i hope you definitely will laugh about it, when you realize it^^ When you watch into the topbar where the size of your brush can be adjusted - directly on the right side this like paper plane looking button. if you press it, there should be automatically a centered line in the middle. if not in the middle, click on the dropdown arrow beside the button. now to the button further on the right side of the first button. this one will create a line from left to right - exactly in the middle. And the cool thing with these two paperplanes: you can create mirrored (left/right - up/down) artwork. Depending on how much half and quarters and so on you chose - you can create mandala-art as well (just to give a view on what you could do with it. if you THEN chose the button beside the paperplane - you will get a "copied pattern" (you will understand when you see it). You can also add some more lines by changing the "Type" in the tool options. which leads me to a request: it would be more good, if you would name what you show instead of saying "here on the right" - not everyone has its tool options on the right. as I learned, it seems even kinda normal, that everyone has different working layouts - depending on which artwork they do. me was just laughing about myself not getting that i have to watch on the left, when you said right xD
I wished I looked this up sooner, I've been doing it manually.. But Im at the point where It's a pain to not be able to mark vanishing point outside of the canvas with the set resolution. This is Huuuuuuuge!! the enlightenment.. Thanks!
That has helped me a lot! I started drawing digitally in Autodesk Sketchbook and it was way easier to activate the perspective grids, you just click on the perspective grid up on the image but in Krita is way harder. Thank you!
Holy cow this was so freaking helpful. Idk why it was so hard to register how to make a perspective point even tho I knew wha the tool did. But when you did it I was like OHHH yeah THATS WHERE THEY HAVE TO BE DUHH Thank you SO MUCH!! And alsooo…you’re voice is kinda hot…

This is really helpful since I'm a beginner Krita user and I'm trying to figure out how to use certain tools, shortcuts, etc. I've been wondering where to find the "perspective grid option" but it turns out, there's no such thing as "perspective grid option" lmaoo- but now I learned it the easier way, thanks to this video. I'm currently practicing how to draw backgrounds and sceneries much better and perspective grids are very useful in doing the job.. Thank you again! You earned a new subscriber! ^ ^ ✨

Thank you, however I have a problem with the horizontal and vertical guides. I see them but the brush tool is only constrained to the vanishing point lines and I'm not able to write horizontal and vertical lines, just diagonal ones. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I follow exactly your instructions.
i watched all the tutorials related to assistant tool and understand every concept of it... i just can't able to draw in vanishing line because when i try to draw, it automaticaly draw perpendicular line regarding what is selected in parallel rulers

Apologies unfortunately I had to take a break from the channel to focus on my main business but I couldn't find a way to do it when I took a look in krita and at the documentation I confirmed they don't have a native way to lower opacity of guides.
