Tardis Glitch I always thought of a chandelure fire/flying variant that is said to give good luck and is themed after chinese lanterns to stay disguised
Great video! I've been creating a fakemon region off my home state since I was 10 at least. I'm 21 now, haven't worked on the region in years (it had over 100 fakemon when I left it) but my spark for it has been re-lit. I decided that most of my fakemon were uninspired. None of it stuck to a theme. So, I decided to restart from scratch. Gym leaders, starter pokemon, everything. My state isn't one of the most well-known ones. I get surprised when it's mentioned in a tv show or movie. That being said, there's not much that people would probably know about my state besides some stereotypes and that it's cold. However, I wanted to make a region off of it because maybe it would get people to look more into the place. I will say, I maybe didn't pick the best towns and cities for the region. I chose the ones I'm familiar with best. There's only a hand full of places up here that really stand out and I wanted to keep it close to home. I'm gonna keep tinkering around with everything until it feels right.
I'm so happy I saw this comment, I was literally just randomly scrolling through my old vids to see how they've aged lol. This was really great to hear, I'm really happy my video re-lit your spark to finish up that region! Best advice I could give nowadays is to keep at it and add things that make you feel happy and homely with your region, sometimes it's best to simplify the amount of content and then work on fleshing that out! Best of luck :^)
@@Kyepha That really is quite the timing for me to be watching the video and then comment right when you're looking through comments on old videos. I can't wait to check out more of you vids as I work on my region
@@yellowpowr8455 Close guess but nope. Though, I was thinking of mixing in elements from surrounding states like Lockstin did with his Pacific NW region
My drawing could never do my vision justice, but I have a detailed written plan for the geography, lore, culture, cities, characters and some of the Pokémon and story of a region based on Iran. I’m half-Iranian and I designed it as a tribute to all the positives of the country. Though I’m much more focused on the worldbuilding and characters than things like stats and gameplay, I think it would make a very enjoyable fan game if I only had the skills or help to make it.
Maybe you could try pixel art. RU-vidrs like Brandon James Greer or Pixel Pete have excellent guides on how to draw things. Even in Game Boy style! Or try to get an image of something similar and line trace it in Krita, then add a new layer where you change the outline to fit your Fakemon.
My region is based on Ireland and there is a mischief nature legendary which pulls pranks on humans by changing the nature around them but an evil team is obsessed with controlling the world in anyway they can like weather (They’re called team weather) and realising that the legendary can change the nature they try and kidnap it, so before you fight the elite 4 you have to stop team weather (and the legendary because the battlefield in the elite 4 is covered in poison ivy)
I know you posted this a few years ago but you could use RPG maker xp, I bought it for around £11 so it isn't ridiculously expensive and there's a whole series of tutorials here on RU-vid that are super helpful!! If you type in Pokémon rpg maker xp you'll find them. You will need to download some things for the basics but they're all linked in the tutorials. I hope this is helpful
I kind of wanna make a region on another planet with cool weird geography but I have absolutely no idea how I'd go about it or how I'd form a story that makes sense to tie in it with pokemon 😅😅
Here’s my idea: it takes place in a few separate locations that are mythical locations like Mt. Olympus and Atlantis. The evil team is Team Mythology trying to unlock the power of all mythical Pokemon. Just my basic idea.
To be honest, I kind of make my regions like you do. I based my region on a sort of... Normal area with towns and stuff. Then I based another on a cold and snowy place. This still helps though! Thank you!!
My region is based on Canada, specifically manitoba, the legendaries are ice and fire types and are based off of the northern lights you see in Churchill.
Fantastic video! :) Thank you for all of this information, I love how detailed your explanations are (they're very helpful as I'm in the process of creating my own pokémon game!).
I'm making a region based on the ice age i got inspiration from the kaskade region but I will be calling it the deladar region more than half of the area will be covered in snow and the other with cold temperature but no snow and a volcano in the far right corner
I’ve been making my own region for a bit. It has a new type and gimmick: Lunar and Skybond. It’s mainly based of the USA, but with hints of things from other places :) (P.S. I only have one starter and its line: Mossquill, Mosstar, and Lunaqil. It’s the grass type starter and gets its lunar typing when it evolves into Mosstar.)
My region is based off Vietnam and it’s called the Trời region (it means god in Vietnamese Lol-). The Legendary is a Ghost and Water Type. It looks like a Dragon but it has gills and swims in the water. However, it can fly. It’s scales are grey when out of the water but blue in the water. Back then, people mistaken it for a Gyrados. It’s name is Kwoladon.
I think I need advice lmao. I mostly make the legendary Pokémon of my region based on my country's national animal, the Malayan Tiger, it represents courage. I'm still confused if I should make it the legendary or not.
@@lemonyz420 if you feel like it should be then you do you. It sounds very interesting. If it were me, I’d make it a legendary with an interesting backstory.
@@longngo2846 The legendary I'm basing it on is just based on my country's national animal. The people in my country worship it as an animal of courage and bravery. And I have a second legendary for my region, based on a bird that a religion in my country worships, the Rhinoceros Hornbill. The religion says this bird will bring good fortune to wherever it goes, but it's kinda too plain for a legendary, but I tried mixing it with a legend in my country that is nicknamed 'Cinderawasa' aka 'The Bird From Heaven', since it will keep flying until it dies, ancient people of my country said it was only owned by the wealthy. So basically the people in the region worships it and will get upset if anyone tries to capture it or hurt it.
@@lemonyz420 if you have 2 legendaries I recommend making two games like how Game Freak does. (Ways to make money-). If it’s too plain, you can of course plan out a unique backstory. If you can’t figure that out, maybe ask a relative in your house hold or any friends you have that are creative at story telling. I also can help if you want it of course.
@@longngo2846 Oh ok. I desperately need help in making better legendaries and their backstory. Btw thanks. Imma just do the way of how Gamefreak makes many legendaries and their back story.
My region is based in Scotland and the Faroe Islands. The main culture is a mix of Scottish and Faroese with a bit of English. Though however, the region is quite diverse with many cultures from Galar, Alola, Kalos, Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto. The landscape is very hilly and mountainous based on the Scottish Highlands and the Faroe's jagged cliff and fjords. 🏴🇫🇴
I’m making a Pokémon region called stars and cosmos. The evil is is team tech. They are turning Pokémon into the tech type I made. The lore is that you are trying to win the big tournament in a outer space arena.I haven’t decided the name but I have everything else planned out.
Mark my words, an Australia based Region will bring the more Pokémon then Gen 5 and it will bring some of the best and most diverse Pokémon. Pokémon Spectrum is proof of that potential. Plus, if we were to ever get another Fire/Fighting Type Pokémon, we would all want it to be a Kangaroo. It's a match made in heaven and we've actually gone 3 Generations and 9 years without a Fire/Fighting Type.
For my regions that I have fought of before this and will do thanks to this video are 1. (the first one which was technically the first region I thought of this) The future is wild/speculative evolution region (basically anything official of speculative evolution is in this region and the region itself is basically based on Pangea Ultima or Neo or etc but merged together (I’ll probably add new land looks to make it more different) and new other things like the hollow earth theory mixed with other ideas I saw and mars for alien fakemon. 2. The second is based on the first Object show Battle for Dream Island and other object shows the said region is the region of Goiky (which its is its actual name in Bfdi) which could be South America and Antarcticas tips. (By how the map of the earth is focused on Antarctica as the based point) 3. This one is basically my home country as region all I can say is lakes. 4. Probably the weirdest one. basically this is based of what if animals had Pokémon stats video that TruGreen7 made and for here the region is a island that “spawned” out of nowhere and your team was there to check out the place unfortunately your attacked by a rival group.
My region is entirely based on fantasy and mythology, the culture might be an amalgamation of medieval/greek/irish (mostly bc its all centered around fantasy and mythology), and the legendaries will be a dragon duo bc dragons are the staple fantasy creature. The dragons will basically be Good vs. Evil, and will have those respective themes. The starters are a griffin line, a kirin line, and a nessie/sea serpent line. To sum it all up, basically a bunch of legends are myths, especially things found in normal fantasy like dragons and unicorns, and some real-life odd creatures all as pokemon in one region. Yes, ik, its a mess xD
My Region is based on all of Canada but it's Called the Edziza Region named after Mount Edziza the Biggest Volcano in British Columbia, Canada and the Legendaries are A Wolf,Golden eagle and Ogopogo
I made the owana region it is said that the owana island one day floated out from the sea and stayed there to this day ever since that happend there has been an eternally spinning whirlpool which keeps getting bigger it stopped 10 years ago only new pokemon seemed to live on the owana island but nobody knew how any of this happend nobody will find it out nobody ever goes near the whirlpool in fear that it wil start growing again and that there is something horrible waiting under it
Excellent job well done, this might give me inspiration to make my own Fakemon region Question:Is it optional to make the region custom-made? Like making made-up custom islands for example or it’s best to stay to the optional region of the real world?
My Pokémon region is based off Greece and some of my Pokémon will be Greek Gods. It’s called the Oialympus region, named after the place in Greece called Oia and Mount Olympus!
Currently trying to make a region based off of the midwest section of the usa, since that's where I'm from. So far I have a besver water starter, a copperhead snake fire starter, and some sort of bird grass starter I dont really have much idea for yet. I dont know plot points yet but I figured since all the big cities in that area are well. Cities, I figured smth around pollution and polluting the land outside of them since we're big on farms and stuff, and all the natural land going bye bye
I’m going to make a archipelago that will be called fossil islands cause the islands only house fossil Pokémon the islands habitats consist of desert jungles and Savannahs and frozen islands and I will make more fossil Pokémon that will live on the islands
Im actually creating a region with no real-world country. Instead, it is based on the concept of how cultures and animals change over time. I have a goal of 62 fakemon and dlc content.
I’m working on a region in the Northeast part of the US, but I’m working on the name, right now I’m leaning towards the Coasto region because every state is on the coast, got any ideas?
My region would be based on the Southeastern United States. There would be swamps (based on Florida) beaches (the Carolinas and Florida) mountains (Tennessee) and lakes from all of those states. I would have states welded together that include- Tennessee Georgia Carolinas Alabama Florida
I have my rejon on Chinese and the history I'm proud of the story ho that a long time ago 2 legendary pokemon flisca and waveour started a war and splited the community into 2 parts and the war ended by the 3 legendary Pokémon called hourara and in the process waveour lost a piece of her tail flisca lost a feather and hourara lost her 3 horn and on a even called a moonlight eclipse if all 3 relics and collected can summon the legendary but the event only happened every 30 years. the rejon called the dos rejon with in Chinese means multi
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it! Question: Would you make a video that goes deeper into building the cities/towns in your region and how to best layout those towns into the projected region map? That'd be something I'm interested in seeing.
Same, I've gone through so many designs for a map just trying to get it to feel right. My advice would be, get the towns to feel like there real-world equivalents but focus on the plot. A lot of the pokemon games sacrifice aspects of the cities the game cities are based on to make it more pokemon.
My first world was based on a shrunk down version of the Swiss alps, with English, French, German, Welsh, Mediterranean and Norse themed towns. The international PokéVision World Pokémon Tournament is watched by millions and you can audition to get accepted on professional Pokémon trainer teams too
My region is called the Ashkian/Ashkia region. I even made an evil team(Team Dragoon)who wants to collect the strongest dragon types in order to rule the world, and defeat anyone who tries to stop them. They even have a Dragon Type Legendary Pokemon. I named all of the towns, and city IEW off of past Pokemon games, except for the starting town, and the city with the Elite 4.(Elite City). It’s not based off of any particular country, its just a bunch of Pokemon that I made. I even designed the region! I am also currently in the process of making a USA based region.
I just finished a region of mine based off of Italy. Now I’m ready to make another one, with the help of your video. It might be based on China, and the legendaries (not box legendaries ) are based on the four symbols. That’s all I got so far
My biggest issue is creating a map that im happy with. This video helped a bit, id be lying if i said it completely turned me into a map design pro, but i still really think this advice is great. Do you have any more advice with making the region’s map design?
I already have so much planned out for my region except for the map since my region isn’t actually based on a real location and it has different cultures mixed together.
I was thinking of making a Pokémon region based on Virginia, specifically the Washington DC area and Florida. I’ve also thought about a making a Greco Roman region.
I made a region with looks pretty though i made it from scratch it's like a peninsula then in the postgame there are islands named the cherry islands where lots of global fruit is made most of the coastline is in the early game the region has a decent chunk of caves and the region is seperated into 3 areas with tall mountains and dense forests unexplored. I did cut up some stuff from hoenn like bring back team magma and aqua but they are chaotic good now and a mysterious 3rd team i also brought the weather trio and there are big level jumps like the 2nd gym being at early 30s i am thinking of slowing it down because if the E4 has level 100s what levels could you get in the postgame in the cherry islands, battle frontier well you don't gain the battle frontier but anyway there are gym rematches a bundle o legendaries completin the pokedex im even thinkin of adding the world tournament. Your starter is a porygon, your rival's name is marlin but because i did not theme the region it's gonna be hard to add their cultures and i know culture is important so yea thats the region so far it geographically its lookin decent but culture i did not start with it yet
My region is based on my Minecraft survival mode world, I pretty much made it completely by accident. I’m gonna use this video to help me out creating my own Pokémon region… It’s called Magic Star and Fire Rock!
Great tutorial for Pixelmon cities and regions. Helps making legendary hunting more fun when you aren't just on a flat plane and you have a huge city in every biome
I'm Planning on making an Australian Pokémon region, I have characters, places, story, and Pokémon ideas ready, I call It Pokémon Up And Down, and I'm proud of it, just thinking how to finish all of this.
I made a region based off Shikoku and Chugoku regions of Japan, called the Heima region.(based on the Japanese word 平和 heiwa, meaning peace) The region has over 50 pokémon (so far) and it has 16 cities, each based off a real city in Japan.
My region is call the alster (all-st-r) region and it is based off of mexico. da legendary would be like talonflame or moltres bc of the algebras that the Spanish believe in
My region is based on Australia's city's I choose 9 city's and search the shape of those 9 city's and smoosh them all together and try and make a sort of square shape
My vision for the 10th Generation GYM LEADERS 1. Rock 2. Poison 3. Water 4. Dark 5. Steel 6. Fire 7. Bug 8. Flying ELITE FOUR 1. Grass 2. Fairy 3. Dragon 4. Electric
My pokemon game is called pokemon past and future. Yes there are still three main legendaries, but they're kinda are the same, y'know, cuz time travel. With the main legendary chapter a little bit after the championship because in pokemon past the bad team drills a hole in the mountains revealing the legendary. But in the latter they walk on clouds or something idk.
