Wow, I actually have a nearly identical motor that I pulled from a shitty vacuum cleaner. I was planing to turn it into an air blower using some bits of pvc tubing, but I had doubts about it's power. thank you for confirming it will work.
Really, really great idea, man. I have a motor like that, but it's 12v DC. Should be that strong though. And... Don't know what to do with it just yet. :)
pretty cool. some things like sewing machines, will suffer slightly by "blowing" the dust out of it, by the pressure can "push" the particles into the bushings. so with an attachment w/out a filter of course on the suction side of the blower, it'd be the ultimate all around blower vacuum.
I think for fine stuff like that, it's better to use one of those squeezy things, not an electric blower. Works more precise; less like an extreme weather event ;) Also, with any vacuum, don't get exposed metal near fine electronics (like the computer in this video... Or make sure the chassis has a path to ground) Rapid airflow over metal parts creates a static charge. Touch your computer with that metal and..⚡️ . So be careful :)
And I thought I was the first to shrink wrap a bottle around a fan. 1/2 inch PVC pipe fits in the bottle opening and a bike tube cut will seal the two parts together.
I want do this too. But I want to run on High C, Lithium 18650 set or LiPo so it portable and I can take it and use it at the race track. Anyone got any suggestions for a DC Version? Like what could one pull apart to make a DC version that is equally or even more powerful? Coz retail versions cost around $120 U.S. like the Hurricane one. ($169 Au). I can make almost any voltage. I have 2 X 20 Ah @ 52v batts I can dismantle to make other voltage/capacity combination. So dont feel like you only have to suggest 12v stuff. Just gotta be DC and super powerfull and if im not asking too much, reliable. :D thank you for your video sir. very inspiring.
