materials:
-2 tennis balls
-15-20 ft. of 1/4-3/8 inch bondage rope, or soft flexible nylon rope.
-exacto knife, drill bit, or something sharp to cut the tennis balls
-180 grams aprx. of metal washers that the rope will fit through, and which are at least an inch in total diameter. (if using rope of 1/4 in. diameter, use a washer with an inner diameter of at least 1/4 in., preferably just slightly larger)
-a pair of cheap, slightly long socks, white works well
lay out rope, start building from one end of the rope.
1.
cut a hole in one side of tennis ball that your rope can fit snugly into.
slice opposite side of tennis ball with a cut long enough to fit your washers through.
2.
bring one end of rope through tennis ball and slit, add washers on to short end sticking out, tie a figure 8 knot about a foot and a half up the rope from the short end, allowing the washers to rest on the knot.
3.
Push washers, knot, and extra rope into the tennis ball through the slit so that everything is snug and sealed inside.
4.
grip rope as a pair of poi, pinch grip, make a mark on the rope at the length which makes the tennis ball fall equal with your elbow if you bend your elbow to a vertical 90 degree angle.
Tie a multiple overhand knot (5 loops+) that when tight ends up in your palm when you pinch the rope at your mark, check realknots.com for more info. The knot should feel like a sweet handle, and be even and pretty by alien Jon's ADHD standards.
5.
Make the next measurement by holding the rope as poi with the knot in your hand, spiral the rope up your arm when it is parallel with the ground, with the rope going behind your neck, make a mark at your collarbone.
tie the same multiple overhand knot use the slack on the long end of the rope to make the knot, so that the knot ends up on the center of your mark.
6.
Now put the rope back on in the spiral fashion, make another mark on the opposite collarbone.
tie an identical multiple overhand knot the uses the slack on the empty length of rope so that when tight the knot lands on the center of your mark.
these two knots will lie on your collarbones when the rope is worn as a puppy hammer, refer to video.
7.
Grab the entire rope from the middle of the neck knots, and make another mark at the equivalent place on the untied end of the rope as the handle side with the tennis ball.
after this knot is tightened using the slack from the empty end of rope, put the puppy hammer on in the spiral fashion, with the handle knots in your hands and check to make sure there is a slight sense of tension throughout the entire rope when your arms are extended.
8.
now repeat tennis ball weight making process, making sure to place the tennis ball on the rope so that it lands at your elbow, and is exactly the same as the existing side.
9.
add socks by covering tennis balls, twisting sock very tight, folding over and repeating until there is only enough slack for one more fold over, at which point wrap the final twist with a rubber band, and then fold over.
10.
Jump in circles, spin circles, wear tutu's and suspenders, and carpe awesome!

I use soft heads like Mufasa's, filled with rice. They are many times more forgiving than tennis balls, and you can adjust the weight accordingly. It's nice to practice without destroying your shins. However, the hardware and knots can be a bit tricky. Also, can anyone fine a good diagram for the "constrictor knots" shown in the video? I can't seem to do them properly. Thanks!

whats the word on using a soft head, like this?: "Mufasa's Rope Dart Lesson 1 - How to make a sock dart". have found tennis balls to be so painful, but wondering if you think it would work as well?
