A flap to close. Oh I like that I have to try that.. I have been covering my composition books for many years. They are so fun to use. They make great gifts. They are a great place for longarmers to try new patterns. They are fun in just a piece of beautiful fabric. Thanks for some new ideas.

I’m glad you like it! I have found that o really need to sew that button closure with extra thread due to the use ☺️ Jr it’s so worth it to keep everything contained. Would love to see your creations! And yes, it’s a great place for longarmers to practice! I never let a practice fabric go with out being used for something!

@@TheQuiltRambler The e-mail could not allow me to answer you so I couldn't send a photo of some of mine. For gifts I love to frame a family photo such as grandchildren or fussy cut a fabric that shows a hobby of theirs to make it very personal. They are so great to try any new technique to find out if you like it. Thanks for the tip about making the flap strong.

Thanks Karen, I love this pattern. I made several a couple of years ago as Christmas presents, and have regretted ever since not making one for myself. This year I plan to make 2, one to cover my happy planner and another to cover my new rocketbook. The zippered pouch is what sold me, and I love how easy it is to adjust the sizes to match my notebook.

Thank you @frenchstamper. I agree the music is distracting. We were covering up the Air conditioning noise and have since made sure to turn it off when filming. Concerning other sizes - just lay your item out that you want to cover give yourself several inches all around then add 5" for the pocket or the size that will wrap around and give you a large enough size. Cut this out of scrap fabric and do a test wrap then adjust as necessary

I am enjoying this lesson, I am looking for simple projects to start creating Christmas and Birthday gifts for my friends and family and I think this will work GREAT! But I would really like to know who makes your light bar and where I can purchase it. I have purchased many to use but none of them ever light the area I need completely, this one looks like it would work great for me.

Karen I just made the outside fabric part of the cover today. When I quilt it what am I quilting on besides the outside fabric? Is it the batting? Thanks!
@TheQuiltRambler
@TheQuiltRambler 5 месяцев назад
Yes, I layer the pieced top, batting, with a fabric that will not show later - so use up a scrap, muslin, or “ugly fabric” and save the “pretty” fabric for the unquilted lining!

Susie Hairston I have the clamp style at my sewing table and have multiple floor models (8 or more) that I use in my Land Locked Quilting Cruise classroom - they may be seen on my website in photos, I think, or any of the blog posts about these events. You can use the contact us form to email me if you are unable to find a supplier - I don’t normally sell them in my classroom but have made special orders for a student or two. Where did you get your zipper? I have searched Joanns ...Walmarts....online ...China...everywhere....and nobody seems to sell zippers with those kind of pulls on them. Now I did find where I could buy the zipper head only that looks just like the one you have....but they were from China and they were very cheaply made...and of course no zipper tape to go with. I need to find a good zipper connection...and one that's fairly priced. I hate when people over price their zippers.
