This video demonstrates how to make your own "rivet set tool" from an old air chisel bit laying around the shop. It's easy to do and can save you a few bucks in the process.
Thank you! I was able to drill them out pretty easy, however the concave was too deep, damaging the installed rivet. I needed a shallower option and this looks perfect.
Thank you for taking the time to remind me of the obvious way to make the concaved rivet "hammer"! Wish that I'd have seen your video sooner, but I don't have any "spare" impact chisels to spare, so I'm using two hardened 3/8" hex head bolts, welded together. But now..., after watching your fabulous video, I'll just grind the hex head using a small grinding stone!! I'm having to add some fabricated aluminum brackets to extend my Jonboat's front benchseat, into a casting platform. (The brackets were a real trip to fabricate, so that they would bend & conform to the multiple complex angles of that point of the bow. If you're interested, I'll update you when I complete the job. Thanks again, and Stay well, Stay thirsty my new friend!
