Today, we are going to make a Roman style Oil Lamp using the pinch method and the stamps we previously made. While the Romans would not have glazed their lamps, I recommend that you do so as to avoid the oil absorbing into the clay.
I used camping lantern wicks for mine and they worked out great. You can use any standard cooking oil- I used canola because that's what I had on hand; though olive oil is more traditional.
