I really love your tutorials, honestly they all take me back to when I was a kid. My Mom used to sit us all around the kitchen table with a bunch of household things and we would come up with the most beautiful and interesting items. I remember one time she had a box that came from spices and it had little windows in it we made a beautiful collage with flowers in each window and we framed it. It was the most beautiful piece of art I believe I'd ever been a part in making and such great memories too. Thanks for all you do with your videos...I am going to do this with my Grand daughters and continue making memories and beautiful things.

Clear nail polish works great! Two coats or more, fabulous. Other options: mod podge, white glue (then after it is TOTALLY DRY, heat in the microwave for 10 seconds, or in a toaster oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.. this will make it turn shiny), or any acrylic varnish.

Or you could poke a hole in the pendant... or you could use a small piece of wire, or yarn, or thread, arranged in a loop, or you could push a small safety pin in, with the closing part inside. (By the way, thanks for being a loyal watcher!!! Hugs!)

You can buy diamond glaze at any craft store.... but it's very easy to find clear nail polish!

I truly love you, really. I love your mind, the thinking out of the box styles that you teach. I love how you can take things from around your own home and transform them into beautiful works of art. I watch a great deal of arts and crafts from all nationalities and most of the videos I have to go out and continuously purchase different tools or adhesives or jewels. I am (a Hustler On A Budget) for lack of a better word. I like a lot of women love shiny almost everything. I am always fascinated to see what you will do next

Thanks so much Anita... I really have to credit my upbringing for being a frugal crafter. We did not have the resources, (no stores nearby), nor the finances, (we lived deep in the country), to purchase crafting supplies. So as children, we had to become resourceful in creating our own glue, and whatever else we needed. So, I usually try to find way to craft that are pretty much free to the best of my abilities. I have made a bunch of these and I am still going at it. I even got my boyfriend to make a bunch of them. We are at war of who can make the most. I love your videos. I just made one today. I used tacky glue to hold the paper clip in place and Mod Lodge for the magazine photo. just applied a coat of Diamond Glaze.....it looks gorgeous! thanks for sharing!

You could also use gift wrap, greeting cards... anything with an image on it, or you could even just paint your own paper with a marbled effect, or something stenciled....

What an awesome idea!!! Loved it!! And so cheap to make! Only things you would have to purchase is the glue, paint brush and cord and paper clips and we pretty much in our homes may already have all this. Only thing I would need to buy is the paperclips. Amazing! I have made glass pendants using the same resources. Some of the photos in catalogs, etc., can be used for all sorts of things. I had someone ask me once where I "bought" all the pretty backgrounds for my pendants... lol... so I told her that many came from catalogs and magazines! I also found myself looking at all the packaging of everything I buy, the packaging for air fresheners, or just Kleenex boxes, everything. Lots of stuff out there if you just look at the patterns in a different way. :) Thank you for reminding me of this!

I made some of these for my great grand daughters and they love them . they feel all grown up wearing a cute necklace of their own ,they picked out the pictures them selves ,so if they want a different looking necklace all they have to do is turn it over and wear it the other way. such a sweet and cute idea for little ones of 2 and 3 year olds. even G.G . ma had to make some for hr self.

I've watched several of your videos & I'm planning on making earrings & the moon shaped statement necklaces for Xmas gifts this year ! I have made a heart shaped pendant out of plastic lids I recycle, it was very pretty but didn't hold up well, but with you showing me how to use the layers of cardboard, I now know how to make them stronger & lasting ! So now I can remake my larger heart pendant only better ! I also sometimes use nail polish instead of paint ! I've learned so much from you, & appreciate it very much ! & you just saved me time of having to go out shopping different places & $$$ too ! I can make the presents now & then put away to wrap for Xmas ! I subscribed & also want to check out your paper mache projects also ! Wishing you love and blessings always ! 🍀🌸💝🌸🍀😇
