Great videos, just got back from Hawaii and visited the PCC, loved learning about your culture and would love to learn your fireknife skills. Funny thing, I'm a firefighter from Michigan. First thing I plan on doing is make one of your practice sticks and practice the moves. Thanks for the videos
TheFiredog3 wish I seen you cause usually we are chilling in the Samoan Villages Mondays and Wednesdays. I love to share whatever i know about Fireknife. lmk if you have any questions. Thanks for Watching
Very nice tips thanks!!! Where should be the balance point? In the center of the knife or on side(close to blade or close to bottom ? And how long shoud be the fire knife (how to measure the stick )Thank you very much I watched the promo video of the FireKnife Contest 2017 and in the moment when i saw it i want it to learn!!! Im doing it one for practice now and this is the last part :) THANK YOU !!!
We use WHITE GAS the one in the can that they sell in Ace Hardware store in the Camping isle. We use Gasoline if we need a lot for a big group because its Cheaper. But the Gas has a Stronger smell after .
A-Dam BOOM! usually its gonna be unbalanced the Blade is the heavier side. For my Sons knives i tape fishing weights on the other side above the bottom boards to make it balance the weight.
Prez Galeai thx for yr quick reply. Lovin yr videos so far. Very informative for someone new to traditional fire knife spinning. I have been spinning fire contact and doubles staffs for sometime now and am interested in the construction and techniques used to showcase a fire knife show. Any further tips and links would be appreciated... Keep up the good work :-)
Manny for the adults size the single knife stick its 37’ inches and for your doubles they both should be 35’ inches. If for smaller kids you can measure by putting your kids arm extending to the side and measure from the tip of their fingers to the middle of their chest. Hope that makes sense.
really up to you. if you want it to be heavy to practice your speed you can use a pipe cut it to the length and tape it up. but if you want to practice Technic and create moves i suggest lighter sticks. so up to you what you are going be focusing on.
