1/3 of the food we eat would not exist without our pollinators. This bee hotel will provide a shelter for pollinating insects to rest and lay their eggs in. This hotel will not serve as a home to Honey Bees - rather, you will be supporting solitary bee populations! While these bees cannot make honey, they are actually much more efficient pollinators.
Some Important Notes:
- Place the bee hotel facing southeast, not in the shade; this prevents wasps from taking over your shelter.
- Clean the reeds/tubes out each winter with a pipe cleaner to remove debris.
