Hi Paul, I just wanted to let you know that I truly enjoy your channel! Everything is so well done and you are a great craftsman. Thank you for sharing your skills with us!
I just stumbled on your channel and boy am I happy I did! this is exactly the type of channel I've been looking for! Awesome work! you have yourself a subscriber!
Nicely done Paul. Its a good for the ego to see that evan you can have to start over and sand off a screwed up finish. As always artfully put together.
Paul, I wish you were on this side of the pond, and we could go explore some water together. I made my boat and fishing rods, now I want to make the lures as well. I love using old tools and simple methods, and you show them very well. Thanks for another very nicely done video. Stephen
this is the channel I click like to before I even watch the vid, I don't think I've ever SEEN ONE DISLIKE! the new film style rocks. just a subtle change to make it even better!
Nice one Paul, yet again ..... very clever, i make my own trout and pike flies but will soon be having a go of these. keep them coming mate, regards smithy
Hi Paul, enjoying the videos, about to have a bash at making my own lure, I wanted to know what your preference is for sealing a bait? Epoxy method like you show in the video? Superglue? Iv seen people use a polyurethane based wood sealer. Also when fitting a screw eye is it better to drill small and actually screw the eye in with some glue, or drill bigger and fill with epoxy as shown in the video? Maybe I'm overthinking it, thank you
I've been trying this method, but finding that the acrylic varnish coat dissolves the acrylic paint and makes it run. Any ideas how I can stop this happening? I have very limited materials available.
Almost perfect .! But ..if you had a tweed fishing hat , a beard and a pipe you could be new Jack Hargreaves .? And higher than that is impossible to aspire yo.
Another professional video. Although I didn't notice a sound quality difference between your usual voice over and the times when you're speaking to the camera. I understand why that'd happen, but it is a little off-putting.
+Charsept Yep I have still got a lot to learn about sound, most of the sound problems came out me moving and talking, even putting your head down completely changes the sound of your voice, i suppose that is why presenters stand still when talking to camera, we live, we learn
How do u make your lures float/sink perfectly. My lures float on one side and I try to make it all even but it doesn't work. Please help me perfect this. Btw your really good at this, I want to do the same thing your doing, keep up the good work.
+Mitchell Tandeski I am guessing there is either not enough weight in them or the weight is not low enough in the body. Have you got the hooks on when testing?
Amazing work! I love the video and the info! Where do you get your materials? You got another SUB! I'm happy I started researching how to make lures! Greeting from the US
