*** NOTE : after sending this one out , I DO recommend writing some instructions on the card on how to measure / what to do after they measure. you could also add some instructions to be printed on the card itself while you’re customizing it ❤️ I ALSO wanted to add that the how to make hand made cuticle oils video is coming very soon!!! Ive just been waiting to get some new fun essential oil scents in the mail & I think you guys would lovvvvve if I used them in that video! the video is also going to be very in depth of course as well and I'm going to be showing you guys different options on containers / packaging for your oils as well! Once you get a customer sizes, how do you go about customization? I tried doing my own press on nails but I would have to cut the sides and file the cuticle area in order for it to fit but it was tedious 😪 .

No they keep the cards. Once they see what size they are they then go on your website and look to see what size they are (L, M, S) and place their order. They keep these being that they paid for them.

She says that after you've used the kits and you know your sizes. You take a picture and DM her. So that would mean you keep the card, and send her the picture in her messages... How are you confused? I don't know why Kiss is talking about a website - Val doesn't have a website. Lots of artists say buying a sizing kit is a must, and that's the only way they do it. Some may accept other methods, such as the masking tape method or the dime method. That would be up to the individual artist. Hope that helps 😊

I wonder if there's another way because then you lose those nails, but then again the customer is paying for the kit?... Idk I just started watching you. What would you do for a standard kit. Would you just design all sizes ? Or im guessing you have sample designs and then if the customer wants them they buy the size kit. Im confused . im all ready to make press ons but have no customers so id have to make all sizes i guess in the beginning

Yes, Val - you should do an in depth video on money and payment. A lot of people are confused about it. Especially because this is dont online, so many people do not understand if they still need a business license and or if this is reported as income and you do taxes. So, I think an in depth video on this would be a great idea.

What about if the customer wants a different shape or you use a different brand of nail tip? Do u resend a size kit or do you just use the same sizes no matter what brand or shape of the tips?

I love this thank you so much trying to figure out how much I want to charge for the sizing kit. I'm thinking $10 just to cover for postage and everything I purchased to make the kits. Is that too steep?

I see that this comment is from 2 months ago, but 10$ for a sizing kit is a bit pricey, in my opinion. Just charge the shipping fee which should range around 2-4 dollars.

I charge $6 for my sizing kits and that fee also applies to the fee of their actual press-ons so it's like getting $6 off 😊

Why would you only charge for the postage Joy? Your telling someone, that that should lose money, and give away their products and inventory for free. What kind of business advice is that? She has to pay for the cards, the tape, the nail tips, the plastic envelopes, the paper envelopes and then the time to make them. And you feel she should do all of that, and give them away for free...??? You are obviously not an accountant nor have a MBA. There is no guarantee that someone will purchase a set of nails, once they've ordered a sizing kit. You could very easily go bankrupt, doing this... Personally, I would charge $5. for the kits, and they pay for the shipping, what ever the actual cost is, to their home. Your costs are covered, plus you make a dollar or so for your time. Real shipping charges, everyone understands, so customers don't feel ripped off. And this way, you won't give away your inventory for free, end end up bankrupt. Hope this helps 😊
