That is a cool hitch Tim!... To be honest I'm surprised you haven't been using that technique all along..I've been using it for a little while now and your correct , It's way more secure than the regular cow's hitch.! Glad you discovered it,keep up the great work my friend...

Hey Tim! I like this... 1st because it is a bit more secure than the Cow Hitch... and 2nd because I like symmetry in my bracelets. For the other end of the buckle, I've started tying an overhand knot (free end over the top, through the middle and through the loop to the outside) for each strand before I weave in order to put some tension on the core. Tied the way you've shown in the first half of the video, the look complements the look of the overhand knots on the other end. Make sense?

Could you use the slingstone hitch on a four-or six-strand core?

are you going to review the curio begleri from aroundsquare?

And it looks like it would stay in place better, since the regular cow hitch (larks head) can creep up the sides of the buckle.

How would I make this hitch on both ends of the bracelet?

I haven't figured that out yet, but if I do, I'll make a tutorial.

@@TheWeaversofEternity I’ve just found this and was about to ask the same question! I started a stitched Solomon’s dragon bracelet with this with a integrated core. At the other end I put the 2 strands over the clasp to the back then back up the centre, then the left strand round the left core to the back, and the right strand round the right core to the back, then tied the start of “tying a show lace” at the back, then the strands were in the right positing to start the Solomons dragon weave…I do hope that makes sense and you can refine it to your usual standard! Love the videos. I’m making a stitched Solomon’s dragon medical alert bracelet with 250 Paracord (I hope I got that right it’s about 2-2.5mm) I don’t use buckles but 7mm solid rings with fold over watch style clasps at both ends which then attach to a special medical alert tag with holes on each end - means I make loads of different bracelets for whatever mood I’m in lol, also means I wear it too 😂😂
