Upon looking at the title i assumed that this video was going to be using a lot of free stuff... and i thought it was going to suck.... but this is an amazing tutorial and i am very impressed! keep up the good work.
Overcompensating with the lubricant will make it a little unstable as after a movement it will not staay at the same place instead take some pendulum motions to come back.
what are the different diameters you used for the project. I know you used .5 in and 3 in but what about the other ones. Also is there a part list at all. I am looking to make one but don't know exactly what you used.
I love this idea! But, where did you find four bearings for under $5? Or do you mean to say that you only spent $5 on additional materials? Even the cheapest bearings are over $8 each where I am. Thanks for sharing this project none the less, very cool! UPDATE: I used some super thick washers for the counterweight instead of bearings. This allows me to time tune the weight in relation to the camera/phone that I'm using on-top. If you have bearings lying around they would be great as they are pretty heavy. Or you could possibly grab them at a scrapyard as someone suggested. Great Project! I ended up spending about $30 USD for all of the materials. 👍

There is a omission. No setting on how to chane the degree, downwards ot top. I mea if I am filming from the secon floor, balcony how can I shoot the ground?
