Tip: duplicate the starting costumes and just replace the letter, it'll save a tiny bit of time!

Something weird happens where the text that still needs to be typed will run through the already existing text, then stop at where it needs to be

it works with capital letters as well (replace the capitals by lowercase and add the capital costumes, you can add both capital and lowercase letters)

Hi there! I just followed your instructions, and the text engine worked! The only thing is, when I type in for example: "hello!" it types h, then the e glides over the h, then the l, then the other l, then the o. It creates a weird-looking effect and I don't like it lol. I have looked over my code, and it looks exactly like yours, but it doesn't have the same outcome. I'm not sure why this is happening! I need some help, I was almost close to completing it until I have encountered a problem wherein whenever I press the type command the words would appear but the longer the sentence the more there's a gap between the letters. I have a problem I wanted to create a Rp game but after less than a quarter of text, nothing comes I have the text and instead of completing the sentence come at some point only the first three letters of the new sentence and the rest does not even appear, am I the only one with the problem? I came back to this video just to put a like on it, not only did it work first try - so I didn't have to go through the entire tutorial again - It also showed me how useful a 'wait key pressed' and 'not wait key pressed can be'.

Gonna imagine I did something odd in uploading, but in everyone of these tuts I look at, costume number and name don't seem to be a point of mistake. You see, I'm getting an 's' every time there supposed to be a space... I also double, triple, and quadruple checked each codeblock; It will not follow where I put it on screen like you did and it will not create another line, with or without spaces. Dunno what happened in 2 years, but this vid is kinda a miss for me. Thank you, tho.

I followed your code to the letter and it worked perfectly in all departments-except for the one thing I realized wasn't mentioned in this video, which is completing words that overlap with the end of the screen. The words tend t o cut off someth ing like this. I found the easiest solution to this is to just put enough spaces into your input text (basically using empty spaces in substitution for paragraph breaks) to make the text engine drop the letters down before the entire word starts, but I feel like this is going to cause problems down the long run. If you ever have a better answer for this one, please let us know!

not sure if anyones going to see this, but worth a shot anyway. if i press the block once, i get my message as normal, but then if i press it again, itll layer on top of the previous message. is there any way to delete the previous set of text? apologies if this is a dumb question

I did exactly what you said to do, but when I clicked "type 1111 at x: -190 y: 0," it didn't show the 1, instead, it showed "A." Also, when I used "a" and and used "i am a gummy bear," only "aaaa" showed.
