Hey everyone! I get a lot of questions on my dayz editor guide videos about bugs/issues with the dayz editor mod however its quite hard to explain how to fix them so I'm thinking of making a new editor guide video where I'll show you how to fix these issues. I can't solve all of them but there are some easy ways to fix some of them. However it might take awhile until I can upload a next guide as I'm currently working on a different video which is taking some time to finish.
Did you ever make a new video for this? I STILL can't get the mouse cursor to appear when I R Click the character and go into inventory, there's no way to navigate to the left panel to choose items. Ctrl-Tab or just Tab does nothing. UGH

@@AutistixLIVEperfect TY! I noticed that after making my video and posting it here then deleted it. Your work around solves the inventory problem but after working with a project for 10 min it crashes lol. That’ll be my next fix. Cheers bro!

Yeah there's not much you can do about that I have it aswell sometimes. You could lower the view distance and object distance when you open dayz editor, load up a map, click on editor - preferences - general and then turn view distance and object view distance more down
New to this, when i go to edit my character inventory it zooms in and I can't control the mouse , it is gone. How do i get the mouse back? Space bar doesnt work. Thanks!
Hey! Idk if you tab out of your game mid way when working inside dayz editor? If you do that might whats causing that problem. Try to hit the home button or esc button and see if that fixes it. Otherwise you might need to restart your dayz editor unfortunenatly. Its a bug and the only way around is to not tab out of dayz editor whilst working in it unfortunenatly. Thinking of making a seperate video showing/explaining how to fix or work around these issues in dayz editor.
@@AutistixLIVE yea please! I can’t edit the inventory at all. Not sure why but the correct screen opens but there’s no cursor. I can’t access the left panel with all the different inventory options. Maybe I have a conflicting mod or something? The editor crashes a lot too. Thanks for the quick reply!

Yeah there's not much you can do about that I have it aswell sometimes. You could lower the view distance and object distance when you open dayz editor, load up a map, click on editor - preferences - general and then turn view distance and object view distance more down that should lower the usage and minimizes the crashing a little bit more. Could also go too taskmanager - detials - typ in "dayz" and left click on the application then set priority too high. It also good to save the project from time, alltough I did have the issue where if I would load up the file again my character or characters would be wearing different clothing then they where dressed up like.
@@AutistixLIVE Quick question that maybe you can help with. I'm experiencing a lot of crashing with the Editor mod when I either edit inventory of a survivor or control a survivor. Any thoughts?

@RisingEchoes your welcome! Yeah unfortunatly not much to do about it but in the end it does the job. Maybe I should make a second part where I should go over those issues because its easier to explain when showcasing it.
