Due to some very not nice people threatening to sue because I used the word Tulip with this leather item, I'm not longer selling this pattern. I've updated the pattern itself AND the name and can be found here: • How to make a Fairy Fl...

In this video tutorial, I'll show you how to make a Tulip Purse, using leather. Sometimes called a lotus flower, I think it looks more like a tulip. But that's just me.
You can find the pattern on my Etsy to make this leather purse, shaped like a tulip or lotus, and use it as a regular purse, or you could attach it to a longer strap and use it as a cross-body purse.
Imagine using this with your Cosplay or costume?? Your fairy, druid, or elf cosplay will be complete with this flower themed purse. Your D&D character would look awesome with this, too.
I designed this to be strong, easy to put together, hand-stitch, and have a great finished product.
Measurements, other than stitching, were done in inches since i'm in the U.S. and only have access to hardware sized in inches.
Size of finished product: when closed, approximately 8.5 inches wide x 8 inches tall
I recommend using a light, soft leather for the interior body and then a slightly thicker, medium weight leather for the outer "petals".
Pattern is set up for using a 1mm or 1.5mm punching hole, with 6mm spacing.
The straps I use are 1-inch, so I use 1 inch clasps. The D-rings I use are 3/4 inch.
