I've done it that way too. Another way is to use the synth filter. In some synths you can program the entire thing as a preset. Also can put the EQ on few instruments at the same time and do the sweep that way. I guess there is thousand ways to do it.
Do you think it's good to have a noise track consistently under the hats or should sweeps be doing the job of filling that space? Great video like always!
The thing is that there is no right or wrong in music. If it works, it works. It's not something I usually do myself, but it all depends on what kind of music you're making and what kind of sound you're going for. It's all about frequencies and filling space in the mix. I can easily picture a scenario where you might want to fill some extra frequencies to support the high-end percussion for example, adding some white noise to take the place of a typical shaker or something like that. Just use your imagination and experiment. If it sounds good, it sounds good. It's really as simple as that. :)
Uplifting/energetic trance. I figured the answer was probably along the lines of "if it sounds good it is good" but was curious your take on it lol Thanks FireWalk.
I prefer use synths like serum, vital, pigments for that stuff Cus it has builtin fx chain, modulators, different kind of noise and filters (And macros ❤ of course)
@@FireWalkMusic Thank you! I can understand that different takes sound different. Luckily, it isn’t an issue or annoying while watching the video. Keep up the good work!
@@emiel333 Thanks! I have an older video about this on my channel already, but it's getting old and outdated so I'm experimenting with making some new versions of old videos. Some are 8 years old, and FL Studio versions 11 and 12 are not always relevant anymore, as there are now easier ways to do certain things. :) Also thinking about making a video about how to make leads, and perhaps some trance project walkthrough videos. But it is difficult to decide because people watching these videos produce so many different genres, it's hard to come up with something that is relevant to everyone. If you have any suggestions then I'd appreciate it! :D
@@FireWalkMusic You’re welcome! It’s logical that you update your old videos. I doubt that there are producers that still work inside FL Studio 11 and 12 (lifetime free updates!). I think you’ve made a great decision to remake the older videos. Just like you said, there are now simpler ways to achieve specific things related to music production. I would love to see a complete Trance track walkthrough! It’s my main genre. Trance music is making a comeback so I think it will be useful for many producers. You can also make a series of a complete track construction, with different videos for kick and drums, pads, melody, motif, arpeggios, bass and rolling bass lines, effect plug-ins and so on. Looking forward to see more new content from you!
