I've been sewing for over 30years and I love the way the new generation isn't afraid to "break the rules" in sewing. I will definitely be trying this out. Thanks for posting.

As long as I’ve been sewing, and making my own patterns I should’ve thought of this on my own. Lol Sometimes I think RU-vid is making my brain lazy. I do appreciate you sharing this method! Thanks!

Wendy, I appreciate you. Ever since I found this video and fixed my hubby’s shirts, he’s no longer uncomfortable buying shirts that he likes. He no longer has to hack them up so that they can’t be worn in public. I have fixed many shirts now and it really is easy. Thanks a million. God bless you. The Godly Mom

I just did a test run on one of my husband's old crew neck tees which he only wears around the house, and I'm really pleased with the result. Although I typically buy a deeper vee in RTW, this will be perfectly modest for a group tee I'm wearing for a church event.

Great idea, I’ll practice on one of my tee shirt that no longer fits. I did struggle with the black shirt Wendy was working on, a lighter colour may of helped. However I now know how to do a v neck, thanks to Wendy. I find a V neck more comfortable to wear.

Finally I find a video that shows how you can do this in the right way! I've got loads of tshirts that are basically slick tight to my neck. It looks really bad in my eyes and I don't know why so many designers make them like this but now at least I might be able to change them (with my mom's help xd). It's mostly band shirts so that's why I'm buying them even if the neck is tight and I could've gone for something else...

Thank you for posting this video. Yours certainly looks like it's the most professional conversion out there. As I sit here with my sewing machine trying to do this, I've noticed that you skip out on exactly how you pin the tip of the V. I really would have appreciated your showing how you pinned that part and explaining the pinning and the sewing of the V a bit more step-by-step, since this is the reason why your V-neck looks so great. Thanks!

Almost a whole six years after the video is posted, but I wanted to say Thank You! All of the shirts we get at work are crew neck, so I'd spend pretty much the entire day tugging the collar down. I practiced on two t-shirts first before modifying my work shirts and it helps so much! One coworker asked if I had the emblem printed on a v-neck. Her reaction when I told her I did it myself was priceless! So, thanks ^_^

Finding this is going to help me SO much in a few day. Give me straight sturdy broadcloth or even silky sari fabric and I'm happy as can be. Stretch Jersey and I get all flummoxed and out of sorts. This handle my need so perfectly as I work as making as much on my winter wardrobe as possible and I seemed to be haunted with crew neckline patterns. Which..... no. If my choice is crew or nothing, I'll just find my good bra or heavyweight bodice! Thanks so very much for making things so completely clear and simple to imitate.

Thanks. I've been too lazy to do this before. You may want to do contrasting colors for the sewing noobs though. I know you're actually wearing these shirts though. As long as your inside stitches are small you shouldn't see them unless the ribbing flips out. I can use you as an example for my daughter. She's not thrilled to be getting sewing lessons this year. She's ten but I can tell she'll be six feet tall like me. They don't make a lot of clothes for us out there that actually fit. This is an easy beginner lesson for her.
