I love navy! It's my new black. About 4 years ago, I switched from black to navy and built my closet around navy. I find it flatters my complexion better than black. You styled some beautiful clothes. I would really like Lily Silk products to be available in retail stores as I really do need to try things on before purchasing, and I don't want to be burdened with the return process.
My mother wears navy to perfection! She always looks elegant and appropriately stylish for any occasion. Other shades of blue with navy are also magnificent! The cognac with navy is particularly modern, I think. It’s a very smart, long term investment. Frye makes lovely shoes and accessories in that color. And your fun haircut flatters you beautifully!
I actually love wearing navy and black together. Usually black top/navy pants and black shoes and handbag. I read a piece by a woman who went to Paris for fashion week and she was on a budget. She built her capsule wardrobe on just black and navy. I tried it and now I love it.
Lovely video ! With so many businesses in the US having their staff wear black & people seeming to practically live in black athletic wear , substituting navy is a refreshing " neutral " ! So nice for casual , jeans & khakis , to dressier pants , dresses & evening wear .

I used to wear black, however, I love navy with my hair & complexion these days. I'm 64. Plus, when I travel, I love a blue, white, sand, British tan & navy capsule wardrobe. Thank you for sharing!
What a great video.Lily Silk has beautiful things, I wish they had plus sizes. I wish more companies, like Talbot's, carried extended sizes. We plus size ladies have money to spend and love elegant fashion too!
And I wish LS carried petite sizing. Not financially viable for them or they would. It seems most extended sizing is carried by fast fashion brands like Talbots, J Crew, etc.
Navy goes with so many other colours, and grey, tan, pale pink, and burgundy are especially elegant pairings with navy. Scarves with those tones are especially flattering near the face, and make the outfit truly chic.
With fall golden colors in nature, Gold is a good choice. Plus.. Orange in many shades is a great way to go with navy In the Artist palette, Orange is the compliment to blue. Yellow is a pop surprise, too.
Navy has been a color that I have embraced for years. I wear navy all year round. I am a petite woman so I can't wear the pants and skirts from Lily Silk, but I purchased a beautiful merino wool navy lady cardigan from them in XS and it fits beautifully. It is so well-made and so classic. Your styles with navy are just beautiful. I think a grey cardigan would suit you better rather than the cream color. I know what you mean with Lilysilk. I am also petite. I’ve only found a sweater that actually fits me. It’s a shame they don’t offer petite sizing, there is an untapped market out there for them!
I absolutely adore black and will continue to wear it till the day I die, but I have warmed up to navy or a dark blue! I think the winning combination is camel and blue! It’s gorgeous!❤❤
I love navy, so this video was very informative. You looked fabulous in the outfit with silver accessories and the navy leather jacket. Your pop of red color with accessories with some of the outfits looked great, too.
The Lilly Silk clothes are so pretty but they don't carry petite. Darn! Navy has always been my neutral. Love it! Because I am short and want to look taller I have worn black shoes with my navy so it is low contrast if I didn't have navy to wear. I am high contrast so wear all sorts of colors with navy.
I don’t know why I have not switched to navy myself. I do have a few pieces and navy actually looks good with black so I will be slowly making the transition as my clothing needs replacing. I’ve always felt great in navy and all blues and teals.

I have always wore navy instead of black. I use the navy the way most women use black. I've used all kinds of colors with navy. I'm glad to know that navy is back this year!
Navy is a base color for me in my wardrobe. Along with black. I think both are timeless and can be worn in so many situations. I love grey with navy too! Great outfit ideas. - Michelle

Hi Kay Thank you Navy is my favourite NEUTRAL . I wear my navy dresses in summer always with nude shoes/handbag, I wear my Navy trouser outfits with your favourite Cognac Accessories. In Winter I wear my navy dresses/skirts with my Dark Plum Suede Long Boots , my trousers I wear depending on what colour my top is , I wear my Claret Ankle Boots . The Winter colours in my wardrobe for my tops is Plums , Wine, Soft Pink, Cobalt Blue . One of my favourite looks to wear with Navy! You styled it ! I love the navy dress! I see that Lilysilk has a special price for now at $199. It also comes in dark olive. I wish it came in red! Kay, I’m holding out on the belted, pleated trousers, trend or not. On me they add pounds. I’ve adjusted to wide legs while not my favorite. I look best in a slim leg ankle pant. I recall the guideline to show your thinest feature and that is my legs.

I loved this video, as I have been trying to figure out how to wear more navy. I am a light summer coloring, light contrast and intensity, and black overwhelms me sometimes. You really identified why I have not been able to incorporate it--navy looks either too corporate or too much like a work person on me. Love this video. Even at the beginning of the video, I saw several similar items that I have in my closet that I can pair with navy trousers that I never really thought about. I usually just wear a white or cream blouse, but now I will venture into grey and maroon this fall. How much fun it will be to not look the same all the time. Have a great trip. Debra

I lean towards black but love the navy trousers depending on the feel. Silk in any shape or form is a luxury for me. I am more of a dress woman. I loved looking at Lilysilk I wish I could have afforded more. Love your channel, definitely the classiest host.
I love wearing navy! I feel like it accentuates my white hair and my skin tone. I, too, have a pair of gray pumps that are almost exactly like yours. I haven't pulled them out in awhile, but you've inspired me to use them with gray and navy.

I am definitely a team navy, always loved it! In a summer time I mix it with white and red, in fall / winter my favourite is burgundy and green with navy. I personally think it's a very elegant colour. I have dark hair and eyes, olive undertone in my skin , so black looks very harsh on me in this time of my life - 56 years young 😅

Love this because I love navy and black! But I wish it was as easy to find navy pieces as black, because I think the navy doesn't look as harsh as I am now let my hair go grey/white.
I love the navy striped shirt. That may be my next Christmas gift. I buy and wrap it from my husband. I already own a navy Lilysilk blouse. But the striped one caught my eye. And the dress. But I don’t wear dresses very often. So I think it will be the blouse for me. I’m not sure if I own any navy trousers. But I can wear that beautiful blouse with some dark wash jeans too.
