Materials :
DC motor (From ink jet printer)
Pen (Plastic pipe)
Iron rod[3mm, 6mm]( Thin rod From CD-ROM, Thick rod from Laser printer )
Plastic bottle
Aluminum Can
Insulating tape(PVC)
Rubber band
Electric switch
Appropriate tools

That is a good "How to" guide. Using electrical tape for the drive belt and how to put it on the rollers was interesting. Thanks for the time and effort to make these videos. It helps many people and inspires them to build something.

Ordinary rubber bands of the right size make very excellent belts. They can be butt-spliced with a good grade of superglue to make the required length. Restaurant supply houses will have small metal bowls that can be taped together with metal tape to make smooth upper and lower capacities. Check out my channel for some small VGD machines made this way. For larger machines, "baby moon" style hubcaps work great, also illustrated in some videos.

+Sunny Lux He's using an atx power supply from a pc and i think that if you use batteries in series that provide around 12v you should power the thing up,anyway it depend on the motor that you use.

Mine won't work. :/ I'm going to try this way. But one question. Those wires you wind around the ones connecting to the belt, is it insulated? Because I'm connecting them directly to the negative wire and to the soda can.

+Christian Marotta As far as I know, you just need a battery that the motor can run on. And I'm pretty sure the motor type doesn't matter, as long as it can spin the bottom axle.
