Kid, you have a truly beautiful mind! At your age, how are you finding these unique ways to build that seasoned woodworkers haven't yet discovered?? Amazing! You are very talented and imaginative! Hugs for Brownie... My old dog is named Hershey.

Just lost my Boxer, Tazer (11), and Jack Russell, Jazmin (15), within a month of each other, brother. I feel your pain. We have a new (adopted) dog, now. His name is Tucker (1), and he's a Treeing Walker Coonhound. May the family never be replaced but added to, forever. God Bless! P.S. Most 'bevel builds' I've seen have used blue painter's tape to hold the glue up. Not sure this would work with this shape, but I may try it and let you know!

Wow you are incredible. Great project great video !! Sorry for the loss of your dog. Was 22.5 degrees a random number you can up with ?
@JoshWrightWoodworking
@JoshWrightWoodworking 2 года назад
Thank you! Yeah, the angle is somewhat random in the sense that it depends on the size of the vase you are going for. You could really chose any angle and it would make a vase, you would just need to use more or less pieces depending. I chose 22.5° because I had 16 peices so 360 divided by 16 was 22.5. But if you wanted to make a different size vase, say a bigger vase with 20 pieces, the angle would just be 360 divided by 20, so 18°.

Use a combination of CA glue and waterproof wood glue. The CA glue holds the pieces together until the wood glues dries.
@pteddie6965
@pteddie6965 3 года назад
Mike, that sounds like a good idea. Are you talking about gluing two pieces at a time.

Josh, sorry for your loss. I want to make one too. Did you bevel both sides or just the one side?
@JoshWrightWoodworking
@JoshWrightWoodworking 2 года назад
Thank you, just bevel one side. If you bevel both sides you won't have a flat surface against the fence on the second cut.
