When u cut the springs just jack up the car, turn the wheel so you can get to the spring and then you cut through about 3/4 of it and then slam the jack down real hard and it will break it of for you :)

Cut 7/8ths of the way through the spring then bash the rest with a hammer and cold chisel. No chance of a cutting disk exploding in your face at least. Its a much safer way to do it, while still being the "easy way" haha.

3:45 classic hole :) I've been taking care of the area under the washer tank lately, thing is they leak even if you put a newer seal between the water tank and tube which goes above. Took off the tank for now, took off the seal and now looking for some sort of bottle or can with tread cap of same diameter, so i could cut the bottleneck with the tread and permanently put on the tank and seal it with some silicone. There is a plenty of space between headlight and air filter to operate the open/close the cap when the tank is in place, so you can open it, fill the tank using some funnel with tube, and close it for good.

Good content and also a good experiment

All PNW Volvo's fear that hammer. Rockauto is charging US tax on everything now even for us Cdn's... I guess everyone down there is (amazon etc.) Getting closer to being worth it to shop in Canada if you can even find the part you need here.

Hey Man, you removed the dirt to prevent rust. Why not spray some lanolin spray onto the inner fender before and after rolling. It'll stop moisture getting to the "damage" and its smells good too.

Is something like the Eastwood Fender Roller tool worth it to make rolling fenders any easier without causing paint chipping? I know you accomplished that this time but that's with lots of practice, correct? Cutting non-progressive rate springs or dead coils ... No problem so long as they seat with some tension. It's kids cutting coils on modern suspension that causes issues. But still ... Cutting springs IN the car? Go buy what you need to do it right. Great way to lose a finger or get disfigured. I mean, I've done it, lots of us older and old car guys have since this was more common back in the day. But I've also about crapped my pants seeing springs let go. Including seeing a coil piece fly off and bury itself in the garage wall.

What clutches do you run? In the UK the 228mm 22spline clutch is quite cheap, a basic brand one just cost me 70 pounds.
