I just tried out the 1rst method using the USB stick and it hasn't worked. At the time that I posted this it was already the 4rth day that my attempted installation was stuck on "Collecting Information". It hasn't advanced over to the "Installing Windows" part since. Might you not have any suggestions as to why this would be happening?
Better yet, I did an 8 gig partition on a not OS drive and made it bootable with the windows 10 Image, this way in the event of a restore /reinstall it can be accessed from the boot menu whenever needed without consuming a usb drive.
I just built my first pc ever and needed guide how to create bootable usb. Thank you so much! This is the guide that I was looking for. Short, substantial and straightforward. Thank you!
Thank you so much! My computer has been broken for almost 2 years now, and i looked at many tutorials. Until i saw this one, i knew immediately what was wrong. I was supposed to do windows 10 x32 instead of x64. the step by step instructions are so easy and understandable. thanks again, and you have definitely earned a new subscriber!!!!!!
This tutorial was very thorough but stopped very abruptly. It covered the obtaining of the Win 10 software to the USB, but what then? i) how to get the software activated on the USB? Run setup.exe, or is it already done? ii) Can I set it up on a separate laptop but only affect the USB and not the laptop itself? iii) How to force boot the target laptop from the USB? Disappointingly incomplete!
On first option, after I select language I don't get the screen where I can select USB or iso. It just loads for a sec and then tells me I need more space and that's it, back to the beginning... Any help? Edit: nvm pc I was using didn't have enough space on it
a coworker came to me with a company laptop that had a dead hard drive. upon opening the laptop I discovered an m.2 slot. I ordered a 500gb drive, installed it and attempted to boot from a usb and install windows on the m.2. The laptop refuses to boot from the USB, it reads it but will not let me select it in the boot menu. any advice? The bios also reads the m.2 correctly and it is selected as the primary drive.
Please tell me is a 16GB USB enough for both 32 and 64 bit.. please reply bro so I will order one..bcoz only 6.8GB was used out of 28.8GB and 22GB was free on ur Pendrive..so why to Waste a 32GB Pendrive rather use a 16GB right ?
Wonderful. Clear, understandable and concise. This summer I spent hours upon hours blindly trying to achieve what you so clearly explained in minutes. I will be trying to accomplish the entire process of replacing (1) hard drive, (2) fresh installing windows, and (3) restoring old hard drive data to the new hard drive. Might you have any ideas with regard the this last third item in terms of accuracy, backing up, and speed? Thanks again for your work.
Thank you so much. My brother built a gaming PC but didn't know how to download windows (neither did I) so your video helped so much and made it so I could get it done for him even as someone with no real knowledge on this stuff (:
How many times it can be use to install windows on a computer using this bootable USB?I meant, do I have to repeat this method every time I want to install a windows on a computer or is this USB bootable can be use multiple times already without repeating the same step?TY
I've been creating the stick both ways with no success, the target format should be set by the iso file but I'll try the GPT option, never come across that on Windows! Cheers
I had a windows 10 key which I bought years ago with the windows dvd, but the dvd is now broken. Can I use the same key in this usb version ? Please let me know.
What is better to use ? I have a feeling something is different ... I mean why would you download rufus if you can just make it when downloading iso file
ive tried every other tutorial out there and this one is the only one that works! thank you! i was about to lose my mind until this tutorial came in clutch and for others that get a "The upgrade option isn't available, if you start your computer using Windows installation media" message after installing the USB drive, choose Custom instead. your files will still be saved in C: under a folder named "Windows.old"
Correct, this is just for the installation of the operative system. You'll need a license key for Windows 10 for it to work, or have a previous license activated on your microsoft account which makes it so you wouldn't need to purchase another license if you were to swap your computer in the future.
I did not format my USB drive. Should I have? I saw an article online that says they are all formatted now then I saw others that said you should format it. I am using a 16GB SanDisk 2.0 Flash Drive. Thanks.
Hello, I have a question. I have the blue screen error and you ave uploaded a video of it's fix. In the last you have told to refer to this video if any of the methods did not work. Can I use these methods?
Hi , thank you for this video it really helped me complete de rufus install on the usb drive. I am not a techie but thanks to you great work i can make it. Good work!!!
First is for legit installs second is not. Rufus is used for "unofficial" ISO images. In this video, he used an official ISO, but that's not the typical use case
HELP NEEDED: I created a Windows 10 Bootable USB drive following your instructions for my Windows 10 64 bit. My resulting folder is only 3.88 GB. This does not seem large enough. The folder contains 4 folders: -boot; -efi; -sources; -support; Is this correct? Can you pleas advice?
Rufus method seems to be lengthy and complicated. So why to adopt the Rufus method? The first method is from the original source and seems to be straightforward. Is there any reason we have the Rufus method?
i have done all that but i have a question because i have and old cd with win10 pro but i only saw one option when making the flash drive. Will i get the additional things from win10 pro when i activate my window key code?
Thank you for this video. My question is, will Microsoft be involve with the registration? As my laptop was bought secondhand eight years ago and the shop doesn't exist anymore. Thank you in advance for your reply. Regards, Mustafa.
I'm facing preparing automatic repair problem...... So if I install windows using this method.... Will it delete my existing files on my laptop?....please answer..
@@EasyTechs it was great info. Unfortunately it didn't work for my situation. Everything I tried said it was unable. I'm not sure what else to. I dont care about the cpu, I just dont want to lose the pictures and videos of my daughter. Noe a full wipe is looking like the only option left. Any suggestions?
So windows media player downloaded and finished overnight taking somewhere over 12 hours to complete but when I opened my files this morning there was nothing in the USB and no prompt to finish the download?
