Oh, I see now. You put down blue painters tape on the wood then glued the paper pattern to that.

John. I'm sure there are other ways, but I've found fixing the paper template directly to the wood is a mistake. It sticks like poo to a blanket and is a real pain to remove. The tape by contrast comes away cleanly. Mostly, not always, I use a hard glue like Prit Stick to put the paper on the tape. Using PVA can make the paper soggy and result in stretching. It also take longer to dry. It's really a case of pay your money and take your choice. Hope that helps. R.
