Great tutorial. I learned so much by watching it. Two things I especially enjoyed learning about were the Preloader and IG plugin. I've watched tons of videos and no other Instructor discussed those plugins while teaching you about Elementor and Starter Template. Great job!
Thanks for your amazing video! Would you make a video on how to add blogs or news to a website? Sometimes, the website won't update too much contents except blog or news on that.😊
If you don't see the edit with elementor button, you can try going to your wordpress dashboard, then click on the "pages" tab on the left hand side of your screen, then hover your mouse over the page you want to edit with elementor, and you should see "edit with elementor' pop up as an option. If this doesnt work, you might not have elementor installed and activated on your site. Or you have a problem with your site needing an update. Hope this helps!
That's a really good question. If you want to make a website from scratch without using a template then you don't need to download the starter templates plugin. Instead, you'll have to go to the plugins tab from your fresh WordPress dashboard and click on add new. From here you're going to have to download Elementor the plugin. Then you're going to have to go to the appearance tab on your WordPress dashboard and click on themes. From there you need to add the Astra theme. After that you can go to the pages tab on your WordPress dashboard and click on add new, title the page "homepage" and then click on edit with Elementor. Now you are editing the homepage with Elementor from scratch without a template. Lastly in order for your website to understand that your "homepage" is actually the homepage, You finally have to go to the settings tab in your WordPress dashboard and click on Reading. Change the "your homepage displays" setting to "static page" and then click the drop down for homepage and select your actual "homepage". Now when someone goes to your domain name it will pull up this homepage that you created. As you can see it's a whole process that's why I think it's easier for people to just download starter templates because it automatically does all of this for you. However I suppose an easier way of doing this would be following along with the tutorial and downloading a template so that it automatically does all of this for you, and then just going into the pages tab from your WordPress dashboard and deleting all of the pages and then just creating a new homepage. I hope this wasn't too confusing but it's a bit difficult to explain on a comment. Hope this helps
Very nicely done. Two small points if you can kindly guide me. You created the sections on the home page instead of separate pages and reflected them separately in the primary menu. Any suggestion on why to go like this and not have separate pages with a lot of room for content improvement. Secondly, why do we always have to go for logo making and why not have a picture, drawing, or figure simply uploaded as a logo? Thanks if you can find time to reply.
That's awesome! Thanks for letting us know! I hope everything turns out great! Good luck with your site! And thanks for supporting us by using the link!
Absolutely! There are various ways to build out a website without making it live. One option is to use a staging environment, where you can make changes and test updates before publishing them to your live site. Alternatively, you can use maintenance mode plugins to hide your site from visitors while you work on it. You can also develop your site offline using programs like LocalWP and then migrate it to a domain when you're ready.
For some reason when I click on activate, it logs me out of the Site and says "the link you followed has expired" when I log back in. 🤔However, that was a hiccup apparently, it worked after restarting haha. Great and super educational video. Thank you very much! Always was a bit afraid about website building, but you guys really took out the scare. Well done!
I'm so glad to hear you finally buckled down and built your first website and I am so glad to hear that this video was able to help in that endeavor. Good luck to you and I wish you the best!
I searched for an Elementor tutorial video. This is the first one I saw. Clicked it, and saw my last name blazing out at me within the first 2 seconds. Well played. Subscribed!! - Another Hagen!
Awesome Video!!! Very easy to follow step by step. I'm trying to start a Food/Recipe Blog/Website. I completely understand how to build my home page thanks to you. What I'm struggling with is how to add/install recipe templates that have their own landing page when searched on RU-vid or other platform. Is there a plug-in you would recommend? As well, I would like to have links to my RU-vid videos for the cooking presentation. Any help would be so much appreciated!
Amazing tutorial! While I was working on my header & menu, the header completely disappeared from my site and I can't figure out where it went. Any ideas?
Wait...If I want to create an ecommerce site, I don't need to buy a theme?! I just need elementor plugin? So the only things I need to pay for are hosting and domain name... is that true?
Starter Templates are great templates to start with. I'm not sure if I would say they are better or worse than Elementor Pro Templates, but they are free with Starter templates and you have a ton to choose from.
You cannot change the domain once it is registered, but you can buy a different one and move your site over to the new domain then cancel the old one... which is basically the same thing. Hope this helps!
did anyone else get a error when they activated the preloader plus plugin? Once I activated it, an error comes up on the plugin page and says that "the plugin generated 521 characters of unexpected output...". Not sure how to fix it, if anyone can shed some insight on this i would really appreciate it.
I really enjoy the way you explained in all details. I completed watching this video 2 times. But when I tried to build my website things turned out, elementor is not there on bla bla, then I fixed it back, then next one is the theme widget is not the same yours it is just a one big hug column. Now I am confused.. what to do I changed the theme from starter templates. Can you advise me please
Hey I really like your style and how you teach things. But this tutorial is still using sections, not containers :( Can't share it with clients as a result.
What's the difference between this video and the video you posted 3 years back on this channel which has 14 lakh views? Which one is more preferable. Does this have any update compared to your previous vid?
We always put out new videos to update the old ones as software is always being updated and usually looks completely different with each update. We make new tutorials to be sure to accommodate these changes and help everyone know how to use them as they change. Hope this helps
No you do not need to buy a business plan on wordpress. When you sign up with Hostinger for your web hosting plan, that means that you have your domain and hosting. There is no need to sign up with wordpress for their business hosting plan. You can just have wordpress downloaded onto your Hostinger site. Hope this helps!
Wow really good! I’m trying to follow along where can I get the images you used ? I’m working on creating my own computer repair an IT solutions website. Definitely seems elementor is the way to go. Where am having? My issue is picking a theme or template pack looking for suggestions also where to get inspiration from on creation. I was looking at some of the pre-built computer repair templates, but they’re very limited.
I got all of my images for free from unsplash.com It's a great site for gathering free images that you can use for your website. So selecting a theme is only going to affect what your interface looks like for editing your website. All cosmetics on your site are done inside elementor. The theme is only going to change what your customizer looks like. Basically you want a theme that provides the most settings for free obviously. I always recommend Astra as the theme (which I use in this video) because it has great options for editing. Hope this helps.
Do you have a tutorial on how to remove buttons that were pre-set on the theme I chose? For example book now button. I would like to remove it and I cannot figure out how to delete it.
If the button is in the content middle of your website which is editable with Elementor, then all you have to do is open elementor and right click on the button and then click on delete. If it is the button in the header that a lot of templates have, then you are going to have to go into the header builder in the customizer and you can click on the little "X" on the button widget inside of the header builder to delete the button. Hope this helps!
Please help! I am having some issues. My template for my home page is different than the rest of the website. I am so confused. There is no headers and I can't seem to click from one page to the next. What can I do?
Hi Megan, let's save you the stress. I can help. I design impressive WordPress websites and I help make sure that everything is responsive and running great. I look forward to your reply.
Hi, I don't if this has been asked before or if u r even comfortable sharing but could u tell me how much u would charge for this website as a freelancer?
I have a video that talks about how to set your own prices and here is a link to that video right here. Check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-88zWBJ8L4y8.html
Great question! I actually have a video on the channel that talks about how to get clients and how to get started building websites for people. Here's the link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-88zWBJ8L4y8.html
I have been using the WordPress block editor. I keep reading that elementor is slow and adds bloat. Please set me straight. I'm creating an archival/podcast site. Tons of content.
Yes, elementor will slow your website down a little bit but that is the price you pay for ultimate customization. The less you add to your site and its pages, the faster it will be. You are essentially adding another layer to your site when you add elementor. I reccomend elementor to anyone who is new to building and customizing websites because it is so easy to use and allows you to have a lot of customization options, but the downside is a little bit slower load time. Not that much but it definitely is there. Hope this helps answer your question.
@@CreateaProWebsite thanks so much! I think I'll stay with the WordPress block editor for now. I code most of my stuff and insert it into my website. I think it's faster this way for the page to load. I just use simple html and css.
That was such a great tutorial to start thank you soooo much ! I started with wix before I heard that Wordpress was so much better. It demands mooore work but that's so worth it
