A "how to" video of our first worm farm. Using all recycles materials including a lovely pink bathtub from a recent renovation.
The farm has a drainage system in the bottom, a dividing membrane and then a growing and eating zone full of rich horse manure for our newest members of the farm.
Design is inspired by a video from Rob Bob's Aquaponics & Backyard Farm. A great Aussie channel that we have been watching for a long time.

Great how to on making a worm bin out of an old tub!! I love the drain system and the use of an old trampoline canvas!!! Great video!!🪱🪱🪱 I'm sure the manure was a hit with those worms who no doubt have multiplied to at least 10,000 by now!! Congrats on 1,000+ subscribers!!🪱🪱🪱

Thanks for watching. The horse manure has definately dropped down and I am about to add some more to it and some garden scraps. Will film how it is looking when it comes around to spring

yeah they are going great. been feeding them potato and pumpkin skins. the horse manure is dropping and getting lots of fluid out the bottom. Cant wait to set up my other 5 bathtubs! Thanks for the inspiration. We love your channel!

@@SweeniesCreekFarm Nice one mate. We've had issues getting manure we think is safe to use. Our normal supplier retired so need to find other sources now.

@@RobsAquaponics we are lucky. we live about 5kms from the local horse racing track. there are a number of horse stables and horse trainers in the area so manure is readily available and good quality. I let the ones i got sit for over two months to let any dewormer that might be present to break down and was all good. i have another 6 bags sitting in readiness at the moment.

Absolutely. It makes amazing material to go into your garden beds. Worms are one of natures amazing creatures for sure.

yeah our summer heat will cook these guys if I leave them exposed. Going to be providing a few layers of heat protection. Thanks for your kind comments mate. You want to help me with the other 6 bathtubs LOL
