It looks so much like fringe. On stage it would look amazing. And I bet its a little more inexpensive than that really long fringe is. I usually end up paying a lot in fringe.

I'm a quilter and we use rotary cutters are the time. They are awesome once you get used to them. You might want to get a cutting mat that way you can set up and use your rotary cutter anywhere. Also they make decorative blades for the rotary cutters you might have a use for these to create a different edges for your designs. We used the decorative blades for applique, bindings etc. Hope that helps. I always enjoy your videos thank your for sharing. Also that yellow color looks amazing on you. :)

I love it! It looks so effective. Story time! I was at work and I found a zip tie and had the intention of putting it back in the stockroom but I got cornered by a customer and was absentmindedly playing with it while I talked, but I got it stuck super tight around my wrist and had to go and get my boss to cut it off. She was less than thrilled. 😂

Only just discovered you and I'm enjoying going through your video tutorials so much. I make dance costumes for my granddaughter but she's very definite in what she wants so I might need a clever game plan - perhaps your fringe sleeves for a novelty dance! If you can get yourself a serger it'd make a massive difference for your costumes - easier, faster and a lovely finish. Some great used machines about, don't have to invest in a new one. I only got one when I started making her dance costumes but never want to be without one again!

Important! Use stretch fabric for BOTH the base and the mesh. I used non stretch mesh and while it eventually worked it was not fun

I'm making something like this rn and i ended uo needing to start over bc i put mesh on my sleeve, started adding zipties, then my sleeve was way too tight lol. Opting now to put the zip ties on a disembodied piece of mesh that I'll sew onto the top later. Hope it works 🤞

It would be great to somehow have some horizontal zigzag stitch around the whole whole sleeve and panties, just to make sure that the mesh really had a support from the fabric. You know what I mean? The weight of the straps would drag tha mesh overtime.

Check out my most recent hair tutorial with the slicked back side, because that's the same technique I used here :) If it looks more fluffy here I think it's because this wig is shorter and lighter.
