Interesting concept, taking AC power to drive a DC motor which drives an alternator creating AC power again then using the alternators rectifier turns it back into DC. A DC battery charger would be better but if you don't have the money or resources where you are this is a cleaver idea and depending on you location you could also use ditch the DC motor and and utilize wind or hydro to run the alternator.

What does it happen, if you install an "dc - dc Wechselrichter" between there ? For maybe more power for faster chaging?
