It was much harder to edit and I feel it lost a bit in detail BUT....I cut it from 45 minutes to 19 lol. Thank you though

@@BrickHouseBuilds I was thinking that while I was watching- how much more time it must have taken to make a shorter video. Finding that balance to get the information you want to put out and keeping your engagement up is a tough task. I guess when you see how the analytics change you’ll know if it’s worth it. I do somewhat think that the type of audience invested in bike build content is generally more meticulous about things and isn’t turned off by long form content, but I could just be speaking for myself. FWIW, I was able to follow everything you were doing in this video, I don’t feel like I missed anything.
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds Год назад
@@bmicona really appreciate the input. I value that. You are very likely correct on the audience type being ok with longer form

That looks nice! I have never worked with steel like that. The aluminum I work with is much less forgiving and not weldable. I look forward to trying to work some sheet steel in the future.
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds Год назад
Id agree on the aluminum. Ive only tried to use 6061 but next I want to give some 5000 series a try as it should be easier to bend
@BlueSkyInt

Nice Job and clean. Why did you choose to weld onto the frame instead of screwing?
@BrickHouseBuilds

Thank you! I like how clean it is when welded
@barnesfamily1779
@barnesfamily1779 Год назад
I like the fact you use gal sheet metal but,,, the uncoated part of the frame tube are seriously prone to rusting, after the tray is welded in you can't paint that part of the frame the tray is lapped up against. Major flaw considering the rear wheel will be throwing up all sorts of crud. In my humble opinion , I would design this problem out of the equation , other than that, its a good informative video showing one method of getting it done
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds Год назад
Well I've yet to have a problem in the years I've done it this way.

Hi me i asking u sir i find like this old bike xs and the owner ask 2000 $ , is it good price and he said it got rebuild as cafe race ? and secand questions is it reliability bike has that much age do i can drive it everyday ?and thx for the video i enjoy
@BrickHouseBuilds

That is very hard to answer without seeing the bike. Send me an email with pics to bj@brickhousebuilds.com if you want and I can give a better idea

Any reason not to drill a couple drain holes in that tray just in case water gets in?
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds Год назад
That gets brought up often when I make a tray video actually. The bike simply doesn't get ridden in the rain. In all the bikes I've done over the years they have never been in the rain so its not a big concern to me. My cx500 scrambler however will get a couple small holes as it is destined for offroad.
@robertboyer5498
@robertboyer5498 Год назад
@@BrickHouseBuilds but it won’t be a problem if I do it on mine then? I don’t think mud would get up there, because I ride in the rain and sometimes leave my bike in the driveway. That’s what I was wondering about. Thanks
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds Год назад
@@robertboyer5498 Having a couple tiny ones in the lowest set of corners would have no downside
