@@CarlesCostaGonzález What can I say, Dragons are cool(well technically ice and fire has wyverns, but it’s the closest alternative to wyrmroost I could find)
6:01 Quick tip: you can also input through the large cogwheel and the disred speed will be outputed the bottom (which in thes case it will make it look better and use less resources)
The production rate of most iron farms is limited by the amount of cobblestone generators (as crushing wheels have a really high throughput rate and fans have an infinite one). You could have made this entire thing without the mess of vaults by just putting crushing wheels on the chutelines, put them all on a belt and remove the giant belt fan setup. Items also get washed when you just dump them onto the ground and use a brass funnel to filter inputs, meaning you only need 1 fan. You can replace the compacting press with a compacting drawer which is cheaper. Congratulations, you have now made an iron farm smaller and cheaper than the previous design.
He was saying that we will cry about things like that while his huge inefficient fan setup was literally the only thing we were crying about. The most efficient fan setup is so much smaller and doesnt require item vaults
8:44 you should replace all the glass with additional rows of fans, because the items on the belts can be affected not only by the fans placed on item's hight, but by the ones placed in one level with belts as well so from the side it should look like this: item
@@minecraftveteran22 Someone experienced would recommend dumping the items onto the ground and washing them there. Its smaller, cheaper and more efficient
this entire design made me cry just dump the items on the ground in front of a fan and you have now unlocked a fan setup that is cheaper, smaller and more efficient
You could replace all steam engines with a charcoal powerd one (that can be retrofitted for blaze cakes in a few seconds)untill you get blaze cakes. Just get a wood farm to make charcoal, have 1 machanical arm with 1 intput for the coal to 9 Blaze Burners as outputs. If you can get a 1 mechanical arm and a wood farm making charcoal (1 coal superheats 40 sec). With this you can get to 100K + su easy before making blaze cakes
doesnt even have to be charcoal, regular wood works if you have a big enough farm, made a 4 chunk large auto tree farm and it was making wood faster than 36 blaze burners could eat through
Great video! Just wanted to point out that you can put a shaft in a belt and two vertical gearboxes on the sides and the crushing wheels on top of them and it will work with whichever direction the belt is moving to Edit: and also, because of how the belts arent full blocks, you can put fans on the same y level as them plus the fans you already placed in the video and the washing or smelting or whatever process will be double as fast
1) you can use vertical gearboxes to drive the crushing wheels off the belts 2) it's better to use fans on the belt layer and 1 above: you can wash 2x faster
recommending anyone that wants to build this somewhat early to change the washing part to just output onto a block with a washer aiming down the block path with a brass funnel at the end instead of use 777777 fans and an ungodly amount of su
I used sophistated backpack with magnet upgrade on in on top of stone gen and hook it up and it stops any stone from escaping. Collects 100% and save on lag.
instead of signs to retain the water, you could also use waterlogged leaf blocks or stairs. not really any strong advantage, I don't think but...eh? it's an alternative, I guess. and I like the compact design. [also IF you wanted to, for example, start out smaller, for some parts, like the vaults, then you could probably use brass tunnels to unify and disperse, probably. I think I'd also advise making sure your particles are on minimal, with all those fans! yikes!
Ditto! My fps is generally suuuuuuuper low which SUX & I canna find a fix! 🙁 When it ultimately crashes I often get a "need to allocate more memory" message in the report, but I've not the Foggiest idea how to do this!
@@jcofortco Not sure if you're still struggling with this, but in the launcher you can allocate more memory! I usually allocate 12 - 16 gb for my modpack.
@@gnericblu7716 Please - How does one do this? I'll try whatever u recommend in the morning. Never ever messed with configuring, settings, etc. Thx in advance! 😁
@@jcofortco When you are in the launcher, click on installations, then the "..." icon on the right side of your modpack installation, hit edit, hit more options, then scroll down to the JVM Arguments. Find "-Xmx4096m" or some variation of that number, and change the "4096" to whatever amount of ram you want. I have 32 gb available so I allocate 16 gb, therefore I type "Xmx16096". Hope this helps.
When washing or smelting with fans putting 1 item or 16 takes exactly the same amount of time. So if you change the Andesite funels for brass or even chutes you can 16x your speed with the same setup.
You could just have one fan for everything by having a funnel drop it on the ground and the fan wash as much as needed then a brass funnel taking only iron nuggets and flint in. If your confused what I mean by this, Skeej_inc had an iron farm using this type of washing an infinite amount of gravel.
@@anakinskywalker8895 it’s not just create mod. Mr. Beardstones is close to it, as the description says, but it does not fully encompass the colonies as far as I know.
