wow, this is a very complicated and time consuming thing to do!!!!!!!! how on earth did you invent this complicated of an origami animal in the first place, and to show people for free! oh my goodness. blessings to you for sharing this instructional video. i personally wont be trying to make it because it's too time consuming, but that you made it and shared this, and spend soooo much time just to help people, sooo patiently, that is very nice. thank you.
Guys you might not believe this but me, an 11 year old kid has just finished this model and it's my first try wow I never thought an 11 year old can do this
I did it in the span of 2 days. Used printer A4 piece of paper square 21cm x 21cm piece of paper. Makes details incredibly difficult and even if you were skilled enough to make a half baked attempt the details will be a bit messy. Nevertheless it came out looking relatively good. Is a great origami and is defiantly worth a go.
He only mentions it 3 mins in bur if you have paper with color on only one side or with different colors, the color thats up in the beginning is going to be your main color.
Thank you Tadashi Mori for all of your effort! I made the Origami with 35 x 35cm paper and I wouldnt recommend it essentially, because its really hard to make the details at this size! Regardless, it looked good in the end, thanks for the video!
I finally got my internet fixed and I just wanted to thank you for this SUPER detailed tutorial. It is amazingly well made and the high def helps a lot. Thanks for all your hard work!!!
gg man I made this phoenix and I'm 15 !!! two years ago I made the phoenix by Jo Nakashime but I think this is the best you have created. He's so cooooll!!! ^^
I tried this for the first time when I was in 5th class. Ever since then it has been a ritual for me to try to make this. Today I am 19yr old (in degree clg) yet again trying it this time. Hopefully I'll succeed.
Hello tadashi can I ask you what Paper you Use or would recommend me for complex origami models ? I have the Problem that the Paper i use gets to soft after folding many times and the Details looking often very Bad. Hope you can understand me my english ist that good ^^ thank your for the cool Videos i already have fold the half from the phoenix
I have a question I'd appreciate it if someone could please reply me with an answer. For the tail of the phoenix can we use Satoshi Kamiya's Phoenix tail?
HELLO, It's always a pleasure to watch your videos and make your models. I even created a special section Tadashi Mori in my favorite tabs of the web, it's so sure when I want a treat to fold. Thanks again!
Tadashi mori is 25×25 kami paper good enough? and I was wondering how I can cut Washi paper better then scissors and in canada they call it tissue paper I've been trying to cut it out for so long! :-(:-(
Wow. And I can't help but admire the fact that other origami artists ' Phoenix hasn't been around for over an hour. (This is my personal opinion because others might find it difficult.) And I want you to make a good video for me.
Its kind of interesting when I read the comments on poor english or non english videos because the comments are basically always really positive. Also thats insane that looks really hard to make
What I always wonder is how do they first think the model then know how to fold it, I imagine it's not a first try exercise, but still. I could stare for years at a paper without begining to grasp how to do it, I already can't make a tie correctly... ^^
Kebra des Bois Computer modeling. Experts know what fold they need to make to produce a certain effect. They use computer modeling to create a design and then the computer shows the exact folds that need to be done.
@@Grievance87 I'd hope that if Hongyi Wan has a facebook page, he also has access to a computer. And I also think you're way overestimating how ancient modern origami is. There haven't been particularly complex designs before the 1900s. Only in the mid 1900s did origami begin to take off, and only very recently with computers has very complex patterns been discovered that make origami applicable in real-world situations.
@@101ified I was not talking about modern origami but its roots. But I´m sure you know better how much the complexity improved since then, at least you seem to and I don´t ;)
i LOVE THIS ORIGAMI , it have to much mountain folds but I reallly like the design but my paper wasnt to much god so thank you and please never give up
Can you make a turtorial about the paper? i m new in the komplex origami world and i don t have big paper. I trie to fold this model with a bigg flipchart or Baking paper but it doesn t work that great. Now i wan t to buy bigg siced origami paper but ther are some much diffrents. and can you show the tips thats created on the diagonal a littel bit bether when you have follding it. for me thats the hardest parts.
i made this with the video out of a piece of kami 15 cm and it was awesome!! i couldn't fold the details obviously but still! it took me a couple tries to make it but now that i got it im gonna make it out of some deluxe washi!! cant wait!!!!!
Dude, please could you make a video on how you cut your paper to be so perfectly square? Tried 3 times and every fucking piece of paper measures exactly 30 cm on each side yet it wont fold into a perfect diagonal for e.g. .... My nerves are stretched to maximum. Funny how this things drives me mad but the actual process of making origami calms me down.
DarknessFromInferno if all the sides are the same length that means your angles are out. 1, Check that the paper you are cutting from has a perfect 90 degree corner 2, Pull down that corner to form a right angle triangle. 3, Make sure the one of the identical edges of the triangle is 90 degrees (perpendicular) to the edge of your sheet. (if one is they both will be) 4, Crease the long edge of the triangle (the hypotenuse) 5, Cut with a ruler and a knife along the two identical edges of the triangle. 6, Unfold and you should have a perfect square (with the diagonal crease already there) ***handy hint most steel rulers have a 90 degree edge at the bottom so you can use the ruler to check your angle
Man, I was looking for a creature called Argonaut Argo on youtube, it´s trivial name is like paper boat in my language. Now I´m here... and discovered a whole new world :O Fascinating
While I like the realism of Satoshi Kamiya's Phoenix, I also appreciate the simplistic look and design of this Phoenix. It's also not very difficult to fold.
Probably, but the other time I used tracing paper, the creases were very strong, so it may be a little harder to reverse some folds (if needed). Good Luck!
