Thank you! I’m not very interested in hats, but I did want to know about screen print transfers. Are they just as durable as direct? Is there colored paper for white?
Both methods are great options and can outlive the life of a garment! I think the transfer paper only comes in white, but you can still print in white ink on that.
Cleaning plastisol ink is trickier than water based ink- I’m working on a video explaining the process. This is what you need to use to remove the ink from the screen: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/plastisol-cleaner
Depending on the style of hat, you may be able to. You will just want to make sure the surface is flat and that you are able to heat press it without the bill getting in the way.
Hola .. vi el video en Instagram y ahora lo ví por RU-vid pero no me queda claro en qué superficie estampas el diseño para luego transvasar a el gorro .. espero poder hacer tu técnica .. gracias
I’m so glad you found the video, I first screen print the plastisol ink onto transfer paper: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/plastisol-transfer-paper then I cover the ink in adhesion powder: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/plastisol-transfer-adhesion-powder
@@pigskinsandpigtails after hearing up the transfer, is there anyway to possibly pressure adhere the print rather than with a heat press? I want to do this with paper tubes and I am not sure I can use heat!
