you should try 4 presses instead of one long press. each time you lift the platen, it lets the evaporation out. technically hovering (turning the knob so when it is fully closed, it hovers over the shirt). It is the same as a conveyor dryer. Ive created plastisol transfers and pre tacked my plastisol prints using my press, prior to pressing them to cure. FN ink

Hey, I like that theory about letting the moisture out!

Ace video Chessie thanks 👍. Couple of questions for you - were they all flashed before cure? Also can you cure with a flash dryer only? I thought it was ok to do a 3 min ‘flash’ to achieve the cure. Love the videos - our go to resource 👍
@squeegeeandink
@squeegeeandink Год назад
Thanks! I have never cured with just a flash as it takes too long and I would be scared to burn the garment and not let the ink heat up for long enough. I only really use the flash to make the ink touch dry so it doesn’t stick to the next screen or to build up opacity on the shirt Any questions or topics you want us to cover make sure you use #printerscorner as we are about to start answering questions in more depth 🤓

Very good info ! What mesh # was used for these? How many times did you run the squeegee? With your waterbase ink, do you spray water on the screen at any time?
@squeegeeandink
@squeegeeandink Год назад
Yes we do like to spray water for sure. The mesh was likely to be 55T which is around 140 US - I likely flooded once and printed once Any questions or topics you want us to cover make sure you use #printerscorner as we are about to start answering questions in more depth 🤓

Great video. What are you heat settings for the tunnel dryer. I got a little buddy 2 and have had some scorching issues. I had it on high heat the slowest speed. Any advice? Thanks.
@squeegeeandink
@squeegeeandink Год назад
Maybe just reduce the belt speed and the heat setting too. I think mine is set to 835 and maybe belt at 5? I always run through the type of garment I am printing and use a heat gun to test if the surface is getting to 165 degrees before starting a proper print run, Any questions or topics you want us to cover make sure you use #printerscorner as we are about to start answering questions in more depth 🤓

Great video cheers. I'm printing 200 100% polyester sports Tees at the moment which always worries me a bit, especially with dye migration. I've opted for cold cure additive (Magna) plus conveyer dryer at 130 degrees. Fingers crossed.

How did this go in the end? Sounds like you had it figured out
@raybeer549
@raybeer549 Год назад
@@squeegeeandink No problems (that I know about at least). But I have decided I would much rather go down the route of migration blocker for all future orders. I've been testing it out at a really far too hot temp for polyester along with a straight print with no blocker and the results were amazing. I think I'd rather have piece of mind. It is an added cost to the customer but the chance of it going wrong could be an enormous cost to me.

What is the right color for these prints, which can last against water and is clear, which color can I use?
@squeegeeandink

Hey Ahmad, not sure what you mean here? You can use these methods for all the different colours of ink.

Hi my prints always get sticky after I Dry them any idea why that happens 😢
@squeegeeandink
@squeegeeandink Год назад
Hey! It would be good to know what type of ink you are using but if it is plastisol it can be that the ink got too hot and re melted and now feels tacky…
