Ahah I know what you mean, I used to have that feeling when startesd producing, but after years of producing, I can tell you for sure that the tools itself is not as important as you might think, but more like you use it..everybody know that bodzin use mainly 808 sounds for drum and the Moog sub37 for bass/lead, and noone have made better use of then than him haha

Came back to let you know I put your rack to good usage. Learned a few tricks by just checking out how you made it. One thing I recognized regarding Mulero's tracks (since I think you mentioned it) is use of automated notch filters. Give it a try. Cheers.

yes I think phaser works like a modulation of different notch filter, I am not really sure of the technical part and know exactly the physics of it, oir exactly how it work but if you check ableton phaser you have a notch parameter too. From what I understand, you basically select the number of notch filter and then modulate it with an lfo. a funny experiment is to take eq8, and create notch filter (8max) and then modulate the frequency of each notch with an LFO, you get similar result

You need live suite indeed, live files are usually retro compatible, you can tota) y use a live 9 rack in live 12
