I have not been here on this channel for a year now its not the channel its not techno its not you I became ill I am fine now I taken time out to learn and do other things so I will be back soon. I think for people new and beginners the channel can be taunting as its geared for intermiate to advanced producers . Its a great channel.
That kick is slapping tidies! I like how you go over the experimentation process and not just a one size fits all, there's no shortcuts. Can't wait to try it out, thnx!🔥🔥🔥
Making Kicks is not "hard" in that sense - there is just a whole more posibilities for it to sound shyte than there are ones that will sound decent xD! But seriously: If you know what you're doing, producing kicks is not "hard" in that sense. It's just that it takes _a lot_ of experience to know how the details will add up so that it sounds proper in the finished music. So only if your ambition is to specifically _create your very own kickdrums_ try to get it done on your own! If what you actually want to do is producing _music_ then just do yourself a favor, save the time and stay away from fiddeling around with your "own" kicks. There are plenty of good sample packs out there already - or you could even just sample them from artists you like! Trust me, you would be surprised how many of your favorite artists do that..
True but when I say hard I meant hitting hard, in terms of of loudness and punch but therefore also harder to emulate haha… The thing is for harder genre like this, if your kick is not sounding massive, then your track feel weak, but yeah you can now found massive kick out of sample pack nowadays
Excellent as always ! Great rumble idea with cinematic explosion ;) I also like tu use explosion sounds with Shaperbox to heavily shape it, to make sort of dark fat "filling" between kicks. So much possibilities..! Thanks man.
I will do a studio tour at one point where I can talk about them, if you want the brand it’s called ekustik, they are pricey but good quality and look fire to me haha
Outstanding Paul. If it's not the hardest kick ever, it'll do until the hardest one gets here.. (think I've used Roar on everything lately). Keep them coming
Please don’t ever stop man please your a genius and I too go throught what u go through but I got back into production because of you I stumbled on your stuff and your melodic techno tutorials have made me try this producing thing again don’t stop
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and taking the video producing time! I hope Elektron takes notice for their future product development. It‘s time to step up for hardware to get such intricate plugin power. Or Ableton has to push their firmware development.
I am dreaming of a modern drum machine or kick generator hardware… something that combine analog part for the body and samples for layering, then something already process out of the box , even if you have to put a distortion and clipper on each single element… a vst in a box basically but don’t know if it will ever happen are a lot of the hardware community seems anti vst in the box lol
Brother I love your videos but you say make kick from SCRATCH and first thing you do is load up a sample lol. also you layer allot of other samples, this is deffinetly not from scratch. That would be using a synth or whatever to create the kick / basis kick THEN proces / layer. Also you have way more control when sythisizing your own kicks and its way more fun + unique! Still cool vid
@@AceOfficial yeah I skipped that part because it make the video too long and boring (for most people), I already cover in another video how to create kick with operator. Don’t get me wrong but if I was really recreating everything from scratch the video would be at least 1h long , and no one would watch it…
Just do what you like to do I guess! Fuck RU-vid, the algorithm and the viewers if you dont enjoy it anymore... It is also beter to create what you want enjoy creating if YT is a hobby... If you need this as an income for your family just obey the algorithm... Don't let the time you put into YT trick you into becomming its slave
It’s my job so it hard to find a balance, because so many of thing I don’t want to do because I don’t like and don’t want to be slave to the algorithm like you said…and the things is if everyone is doing that(be slave to the algorithm), you end up with everybody competing at doing thing they don’t like… which is crazy …. I will do things I want until the channel die haha but hopefully things stabilize and find a nice balance
The problem is hearing when a kick is done. This takes practice and dedication. Also realizing your ears get tired really fast auditioning kicks and start to filter out the sound.
You can use Saturn from fabfilter, it was my go to before roar, I don’t know any free alternatives but look for free multi and saturation vst on google and you might find something….
Nice video!. The hard thing about modern Industrial and what i am struggeling with is the high end like i dont get it haha i am trying around but i never get it as same as Raxeller or other modern Hard Industrial. Its like very insane Full Low end but somehow there is no real punch in low end it just doesnt feel like it and when loading it in span its so messy and so much high end. It does sound similar how your industrial high end with impact but idk what they do to haromonate so well with low and high end. Nice video format i like it a lot.
honestly I am struggling too hence why it took me so long to make that kick, and I am pretty sure pro struggle too, it is really hard to have that punchy mid high and still keep the lowas heavy too...
@@audioreakt Yeah haha true man. I think some people just have the talent to do it quicker. Mine is getting closer and closer to what i want lol. Its just the finishing touches but from your videos i learn soooo much man.
@@audioreakt One trick to give that fat mid is to use trash 2s convolve reverb and play with the seperate in the first dynamic "MIC" its soooo good you should try it. ON the top part of the kick
@@audioreakt I know you focus on stock plugins but idk man some paid ones are so much staright more forward. And hey man always remember you do this for fun!! :). Stay safe!
@@meno437 You can build your whole rumble and low end using convolutional reverb. use a punchy kick with short sustain (losing lots of, even almost all lowend) and a convolutional reverb with a bit of attack. Now you can parallel process/resample the conv. reverb and use it as foundation to build your rumble and (re) build your lowend. as per usual, tons of layering, eqinq etc. from here. hope i got the idea across.
saw Adam Beyer live this weekend, the kick had a very loud click and high end sounds. i think it took away from the music imo but it's just what i noticed.
Creo que eres muy bueno , tus videos son profundos , únicos , buena imagen y buen sonido , pero como todo artista debes evolucionar sin sacrificar a tu familia que es lo más importante
