Remaking Attention by Charlie Puth in ONE HOUR! One Hour Song Challenge!

In this Charlie Puth Logic Pro Breakdown we will look at how to tune audio tracks in Logic Pro, the best free Bass Guitar in Logic, how to make a Distorted bass in Logic, how to use Pre Faders in Logic, how to create drums with Audio Samples, how to record vocals, how to mix vocals together, how to EQ in logic pro, all of the sounds and production techniques used by Charlie Puth producing Attention, the best LoFi plugin, Charlie's beautiful vocal melody lines, how to use the Quick Sampler in Logic Pro, how to create a software electric guitar, how to sample real sounds in your music, and how to give your sounds stereo width!
To make this remake more of a challenge, let's try and do it in ONE HOUR! And then I'll try my best to sing the Lead Vocal of 'Attention' LIVE!

Hey! Great job on this one! When you create your risers with the white noise, you should try curving your automation! Hold down Shift+Ctrl and then drag the automation line to create a nice curve. It'll make the riser even more exciting! Cheers!

For some reason I couldnt find the 'Edgy muted guitars" (M1 current logic), but made it work... The white noise riser is something I've never done but absolutely LOVE it and it will bring so much value in the future - thanks for that! AND let's chop it soon! Shoot me an IG DM whenever :) was supposed to head to Co Clare for a week, and was gonna see how close ya were but stuck here with Pub and Score deadlines... I'm around virtually tho!

On Charlie's breakdown he says he recorded each guitar note himself twice, and put them together to make that cool stereo image! I thought using a VST on this occasion might mean more people would be able to recreate the sound 🙌 Hope this makes sense!

I make different sections of the song but they don't sound good together, they just kind of cancel each other. How to make sections of the song kind of sound together?

Use the same chord progressions! The easiest way to get sections to transition between each other is to write a chorus with multiple sounds, then for the verse section drop some of those sounds out. Hope this helps 🙌

Oh wow that is a tin of worms, many options there for sure! My favourite it just jumping straight into the key change 😄 I also like holding the last prechorus chord for an extra beat/bar and growing tension before the big jump into the new key! Hope this helps?!

Great question Mikey! I should have explained in the video. The Key is F#, so the scale is - F#, G#, A#, B, C#, D#, E#, F# So when we play what we would most often call 'F', we define it as E# in this key. I hope this helps!

Oh I should probably change that, but I never used it to change anything! It can be used to make global changes to the track which I didn't need to do so left it as is. Hope that makes some sense!

Dude, pro, big time producers who have won grammys and made millions spend WEEKS producing a track....and even an entire night just finding & tweaking the right snare! Producing a track in 1 hour? I'm sure it gets you more views having such a title (until another RU-vidr makes a vid called "Remaking Attention in 15 minutes"), but you should be honest in your videos and actually have the disclaimer: "for RU-vid entertainment purposes". It would've taken you A LOT of work off-camera to re-make the track. To end on a positive note, your content is actually good.....but maybe avoid the "hype train" that everyone jumps on to attract viewers. High quality content, lots of it, wins everytime. All the best.
