OMG, so it doesn't matter that the background turns black after downloading? I have CANVA PRO, I have followed always those steps since I have watched tons of videos and every time when I opened the downloaded file it came with a black background just like in your video. I thought I was doing something wrong... so, that's normal?

If you think about it, you can’t “see” transparent. So any program you open it in, you’ll see whatever the background that program has, behind your image. If you bring it into another photo editor as a layer, you’ll be able to move it around which will show you there’s actually no background around it.

There’s not many video formats that can even carry an alpha channel, if you’re looking for that I would def recommend video-specific editing software

I had that issue and I figured out that you have to make the background a different color so it can detect where to put the transparency

I have the Pro version, and it DOESNT work! you end up with a black background. I make designs to put on products I sell on Red bubble, and the design comes out with a black background on my products. Tee shirts etc, need a transparent background. I think Canva did something, because in the past ive been able to make it work but not any more!!

That didn't help me at all. I need to take my photo, remove the background, THEN make it transparent behind it. When I download it that way, it still has a big white box around the photo.
