Great conversation. I think you are one of the most insightful interviewers on the internet at the moment. The questions you ask are exactly the questions you need to be asking at any particular time. Often it makes me think "Oh, I'd never have considered asking that, but it's an important question". I don't feel that way about many interviewers or podcasters.

That's exactly how I feel about Rogan. Huge accolade. Thank you!

@@ChrisWillx I watch every Rogan Podcast too, but I think you have an edge over him in measured, calm, and intellectual questions & technique. Joe has Jamie whom he often asks to check facts for him on the fly (which is amazing and gives him integrity), or make sure the question he is asking is correct. You don't have that luxury. So although Joe Rogan is a powerhouse podcaster, and subjectively has more of that raw entertainment "X-Factor", I don't think he could keep up with your successive, block building, logical questions and prompts, with no back-up from a fact-checker and other crew. I come out of your videos always feeling I have new insight, a bias swayed, or a belief reinforced, simply due to your interview technique (and great guests). You will grow extremely fast now, unless YT throttles your channel.

@@ChrisWillx Indeed! It would be extremely sad for you to have to make ends meet from a subscription only service like so many others have had to, from Atheism Is Unstoppable to Owen Benjamin. From Stefan Molyneux to Alex Jones. NOBODY should be censored from RU-vid whatever their opinions or however much you disagree with them. The only reason people should be banned is for threats of violence, graphic violence, graphic sexual content, or any abuse against a child. US communication companies of any size should be forced to use the Constitution as their baseline. If not, I hope RU-vid goes the way of "My-Space" and Bitchute thrives.

Great video. The quality of decision making is the most important aspect of life/mamagement ever. It underpins everything.

The adage "never judge a book by its cover" could not be truer than with Annie. Whilst the cover appeared quirky the content is gold.

If you get a chance to get Annie or another interview, I'd be curious to know if she ever played Mahjong ? I've read that it also teaches about strategic decision making although I've never had the opportunity to play it.

I see it as a fallacy to delineate process from gut, they're not necessarily opposing each other. Often your gut is just subconscious calculation. The richer and more refined your process is, the more that information contributes to one's gut feeling. The gut improves together with a well designed process, there's no need to compare an underdeveloped gut instinct to the process that serves to refine it

Very interesting discussion, but the riding a bike example is unfortunate. Actually a left turn is initiated by turning the handlebars to the right, then as the bike leans to the left, steering into the turn. Almost everyone does this, but not after conscious decision making, rather from hours of often quite painful practice. It's called counter-steering and is the reason learning to ride a bike is so difficult because it's errr... counter intuitive.

The immediate probability is not the same as the result. I may go on the roulette and choose black or red. I may lose 10 times. But in the end we know there is an equal opportunity of both if we spin it enough times

She's not a great speaker and comes off as pretentious as she repeats herself using slightly different words for the same concept. She doesn't seem to get to the point/core very fast.

You may be the winner between those who choose to play your game with you. But the vast majority don’t want to play the game with you, otherwise you’d be playing the game/poker with 7 billion people

If you want to talk to someone in the field who is really great, talk to a guy like Doug Polk. Annie has been a part of at least two major poker industry related scams and shouldn't be seen as a respectable person in the industry. I like what you're doing with the podcast, and it looks like you want to talk to people of all different backgrounds, but this woman is just not a great representative.

15min in and she has only stated really obvious things that I had heard already many times. It was a waste of my time and I decided to watch something else. Poor guest selection today.

She backed Ultimatebet who had a Superuser scandal which robbed a lot of high stakes players of their money by being able to see their hole cards. Ultimatebet also lied about segregating player deposits from operational costs so when the US market was pulled out by the government suddenly, everyone lost their money. She was also the commissioner of the Epic Poker League which went bankrupt and didn't pay their players as promised.

@@Dorkmaster941 It always seems to be the players that are shown as the best in the World that are far FAR away from being so. Apart from Annie being tied to many scandals, she, just like Phil Helmuth were good for their time, fifteen to twenty years ago, never improved and rightly stay in fields or games that play live poker like it's still 2005. The real players are the online guys who have played multi-millions of hands and put in more hours off the tables than these TV pros put in actually playing. The gap is so wide it's truly amazing how the game has evolved and left the big ego's of the game way behind!
