I promise I think it's some of y'all's goal in life to ATTEMPT to discredit someone by always saying a person's edges are going to be gone, but are you all her clients? How about licensed professionals? But I digress....🤷🏿♀️
If yall pay close attention. She not even really gripping her edges. So she's leaving some room for them to breath. & the stylist honestly doesn't look unbearably tight.
To be honest this is how I do my braids and my edges are long. It depends on how tight the grip is. Another fact, some do this for people with widow's peak.
That method is normally for pple who hair is very thin in the front or for bald edges . It’s a way to stimulate the follicles to grow fast to relieve the tension or tightness of the braids and create room to breathe. I’m bout a fan of it either though but definitely a very informative video.
My hair is currently plaited close in the front its really cute only stays sore for a day or two. Recently had it redone for an interview and my edges are still intact so it really depends on the person braiding your hair and having healthy hair. This was really cute maybe others just braid way to tight for the hair to come out. But I understand why some feel like its a no for them
People love to be hateful and rude in the comments I watch your videos because they help me as a braider your really talented. If sb takes the time to watch your video and then leave a comment you must be doing something right. Great work as usual keep posting to help and educate👏🏾
If a braider knows what they are doing and the client listens well enough on how to maintain ect then this is honestly not bad. Not everyone's hair can handle this method BUT again if the braider knows what they are doing they would state this and there would be no issues at all. I do alot of Caucasian hair which in most cases this method does not work but her edges look healthy enough and her braiding is on point . So for those who have commented that there would be damage I think you need to know what you are on about before commenting. Good job darl keep up the good work.
@@madaladarelus3927 their is a you tuber that just got her hair braided like that and she just show us that she no longer have any edges now she is bald so it also goes by if you have health hair and if you are pulling your hair up alot with if braided like this because pulling her hair up alot with the style will make the edges pop off I'm a licensed hairstylist I should know .
So by making the parts small is that what’s allowing it to be so close? Do you had slightly more braiding hair than the size of the part? So like small part but medium size braiding hair on that part? Hope that makes sense
It’s a packing method but all that hair on that small part will cause major breakage . This is better in the middle on thinner hair but never in the front you’ll be snatched literally

Personally my hair doesn’t like the new way of braiding. I don’t like the small parting with more hair around it because it tends to break peoples hair off. The weight of the braids and the tension breaks people hair off. It’s neat when it’s done but it’s not a healthy style that would promote more hair growth for your hairline.
You can’t speak for everybody .... this style has helped my hair as well as my daughters hair, and we have edges for days..... so don’t speak for everybody cause everybody hair is different 🤷🏾♀️
Girl I did like 9 braids got frustrated cause I couldn't part my hair correctly, just took it all out I'm real close to just paying someone to braid my hair🤦🏿♀️
Hunny edges are apart of your hair just because they are braided doesn’t mean they are gonna come out everyone doesn’t want baby hairs and some ppl have strong edges that can be braided... her edges are still in tacked and this is not the first time she has gotten her hair box braided by me
