nice video, I always appreciated it when tutorials include little sketches to explain what's happening. Makes understanding stuff way easier. For keeping the player on the wall would using the snap vector work as well?

I really needed that one line where you use atan2 to get the direction the wall is facing in radians. thanks!

Really well explained and thought out tutorial. You only rotate the mesh though. Couldn't you avoid using the stick point if you rotate the entire player? Thanks for the tutorial I learned a lot! Just wondering if rotating the whole character is a simpler solution.

This is an INCREDIBLE video. Only question I have is - do you happen to know - is there a way to make it so you can go around 90 degree turns while climbing? Thank you for the tutorial

What if the wall is not vertical, a little bit inclined like a real mountain, can we still detect the collision without problems?

I use blender to model, rig, animate and render the 3d stuff and paint, gimp and sometimes asprite for the 2d stuff.

It's just the default with black colours set in editor settings

Sorry about that! The logic for the code should be the same, but the code itself will break as GDScript has changed a lot in 4.0.

@@leonstansfield Don't apologize friend, it's a good base to work on, if I manage to get it working in 4.1 I'll share it with you or upload it to the assets store giving you credits obviously, that's the point of being part of the godot community. I like how clean your code is, very understandable.
