This Pig Candy Bacon is Perfect As An Appetizer or Put Over A Salad.
Pig Candy, Billionaire Bacon, Candied Bacon or Brown Sugar Bacon they are basically all they same thing that caramelizes bacon- we take a sweet element like sugar or maple syrup on the surface of bacon and cook it in the oven.
The candied bacon strips have a chewy texture and it is crispy and you taste the smokiness of saltiness of the bacon and they you are hit with the sweetness.
It is a perfect Make Ahead appetizer recipe to serve with cocktails or a charcuterie board. If you are wondering how to store candied bacon you can keep it in the fridge for up to 7 days.
This appetizer can be made 3-5 days ahead of time and keep it in the refrigerator and serve it before your guests come. This is not a stand alone appetizer but I like to serve it with other appetizers or cocktails and it certainly is a conversation starter at parties.

Recipe for Candied Bacon:
10 Strips of Thick Cut Bacon
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of Light Brown Sugar
2 TBS of cinnamon
1 TBS of ground ginger
Add different spices in 1 teaspoon intervals to create your own blend to make it your own.
Mix together in a bowl with bacon - Follow Guidance in video.
Bake 375 F | 195 C on a sheet pan with parchment paper for 8-10 minutes or until they are caramelized.
