I tried this recipe today and this is the first time I have ever made edible biscuits. These biscuits come out bouncy and delicious. It’s hard to believe there is no crisco in the dough and no kneading, rolling and cutting.
Me and my bestie aka my sister made this EXACT recipe and chiiild they turned out! I asked my dad if he’s heard of swim biscuits and he said no but we are from the south, TN!!

I’ve seen many, MANY videos for “butter swim biscuits”. But YOURS?!?! Oh, my Lord!! They look sooo easy, and “no fail”!!!! o,.m.g. that is so easy. I've stressed over biscuits trying to mix the butter in just enough, keep it cold, etc. cutting, arranging, what a relief to see how you did it. I think they are kind of like fried biscuits, frying in that butter, what's not to like? You don't need to add butter after they're done this way. I loved this and your teaching style is great. Going to look for what else you can teach me now, but later? I'm going to try this method!!! Thank you

Soooo this happened today. I was hoping to make these for a holiday sandwich after Thanksgiving. Thank u for the inspiration brother. I actually grinded einkorn wheat berries and made my flour. I added garlic, parsley and topped with a tiny bit of shredded mixed cheeses. Omg...because of the einkorn flour this is more dense. But its soooo good. Almost like a dressing to sime extent. The white flour would make it more fluffy. Using what i have. I just need gravy now and sausage. It will be made again. Will be posting to my page (cookscave)

You can definitely use self-rising flour in a butter swim biscuit recipe. It actually simplifies the process because self-rising flour already includes baking powder and a bit of salt. When using self-rising flour, you just need to omit any additional baking powder and salt that the recipe might call for. Thanks 🤩
