The fact that they don’t count shorts watch hours is kinda insane tbh, especially since they’re constantly pushing shorts to everyone. Feels like they’re trying to avoid having to pay more people, I guess
That’s crazy how you put so much time in and have almost 200k subscribers without any monetization on your videos. Hard work and dedication. You deserve all the best for not giving up. Keep up the good work! 😊
Your videos are such a good vibe, even a montage of your shorts will be a good thing to watch, but just saying your cake decorating shorts is such a soothing mood
Now that is absolutely insane that you were at 200k subscribers and not being monetized. I have just a little over a thousand subscribers on my channel and I was able to monetize starting at the end of august, and I've earned almost $42 in the last couple of weeks. It's way more money than I ever thought I would earn on RU-vid LOL. Congrats on your 200k and growing 💗
Absolutely love watching you. Make some longer video’s. Your subs will watch. You are quite talented and I know you will get monetized quickly. We are waiting.
I think it's ridiculous they don't count shorts, especially when EVERY platform is pushing them like crazy. It's pretty transparent that they're just trying to create loopholes so they don't have to pay some of their top creators at the moment.
Wow, thanks for this video…I’m always curious how much people are actually making vs what you would assume by how popular the channel seems. Also congratulations on hitting some important milestones and thanks for the fun content, really enjoy watching what you create!
I would have told the viewers a while ago that this is the policy. So many true fans are happy to watch longer videos - especially if they understand how YT ad revenue works. YT knows what they are doing, pushing shorts HARD to viewers...so, shorts are taking over and then they don't pay out on those. Very smart of them. If I wasn't getting paid for those millions of views, I'd stop making shorts and do 95/5 longer vids to shorts. The "longer video" doesn't have to be that long, make them around 5-6 mins. Still short easy to watch when you only have a few minutes.
Sounds simple in theory, right? But long form videos (even 4-5 mins) are MUCH more difficult to edit. And like you mentioned, YT isn’t pushing them to people. So posting long videos will not grow your audience at all. I had YT for a year and had about 2k subscribers. In my first 3 months of posting shorts I’m up to 220k.
I didn’t know that!! I’ll definitely set some time aside to watch some of your longer videos!!! Stupid that these don’t count towards that!!! Even though it does help get your name out there quicker/more…. But agree with the comment stating they’re doing that purposely when pushing the shorts 😏
Middle-aged mom here. I just want to tell you you're a very talented and very pretty young lady. Sometimes we need to hear that from the Auntie generation. 👍
I've heard this from many RU-vidrs & I believe the shorts should definitely count...but hey, who am I but one small opinionated RU-vid subscriber that loves to support small businesses w/ talented content creators like yourself.
Going to watch your longer videos to try to help you become monetized! RU-vid is so ridiculous sometimes. You put effort into your shorts and deserve to be able to be monetized regardless of how many views your longer videos make but RU-vid will do anything they can to screw over creators even if it's just in a small way
subscribed! 🥳 hopefully you meet your goal. if you posted a compilation video in long form i bet it would get some views :) i’ll check out ur current long form videos too!
You should have told your audience this a long time ago and your regular supporters would have ALL gone to view your regular videos to help you monetize faster!! Oh well, at least now you can start making that money that you SHOULD have been making this entire time! 🥰👍🥰
That's great. Im happy for you that you're gonna get monetized. Also can't help but think how underhanded it is of RU-vid not to count shorts since they're pushing shorts in order to compete with tick tock. I mean how hypocritical can they be.
I love how this was captioned "how to make buttercream flowers - tutorial!" And you just rambled the entire time about getting monetized. Look at that, you're already one step closer!
@@StillBusyBaking Aww thank you so much for replying back, I am resting at the moment, My Foot is still really hurting me quite a lot now as I had my Foot Operation Steph. 😀
Woah when did they change the monetization rules? Back in 2015 I was monetized and I barely got any views . These social media sites are becoming so stingy.
