Hello, this is very cool, how would you recommend getting into such a hobby? Is polymer clay and stuff expensive? do you need a proper kiln? stuff like that.
I'm kinda insane about this channel. I've never made a miniature in my life and I never plan on it but whenever I see y'all going like "and now I'm gonna add a bit of UV resin just to give it that glowy effect" I'm like oh my god..... genius.... he's using the UV resin.....
Speaking from Australia, I can say that I have indeed seen a minuscule creepy ganon-bug similar to this. Too bad I didn’t have my guardian spear with me at the time to poke it away…
Oh geez.. I've defeated Calamity Ganon three times, but I don't think I've ever realized exactly how much of an absolutely monstrous abomination he is. Well done like always!
Botw was my first game and when i first saw him i was so scared, i thought this was going to be the hardest boss in the zelda series based on his skull face, amalgamation design... Then he was the easiest boss out of the entire series, which is a good thing for me 😅
The glamour shots are stunning! At the start, when you made that black been I really wondered how you were going to turn this into Ganon. It really was a "trust the process" moment!
Everytime you make something out of breath of the wild it has a special place in my heart. I love your builds and enjoy your videos everytime but this game is really special to me and to see you share this appriciation is really amazing. Fantastic narration and editing as always!
Brilliant as always. Oh, and thanks for the UV resin tip. I've had issues with it being tacky now and then, and thought I just had a crappy UV lamp (I mean I do, it is a really cheap UV light I have, but sometimes it works fine). Next time I have issues, I'll try the water trick. Cheers. ^_^
@@NorthoftheBorder blood, sweat and tears huh, but damn it Looks so good every time ✨ and i hope you know when you need a break we will wait for you 😊💕
You know what would be really cool? A living diorama where the central part is a banzai tree. You could make the banzai be the Deku tree in botw with the korok forest village around it with Link, the master sword pedestal, and Hestu
This model is absolutely amazing! I love the intricate details on Ganon, and tiny Link’s master sword, along with the other resin parts on Ganon give off a nice “glowy” illusion. Although the main sword on Ganon seems a bit too short, this still looks absolutely amazing. Love your content; keep up the beautiful work!
Appreciate a bunch the laid back commentary, crafting and relaxing fun of your videos. Wouldn't swap one of yours for ten of those "I bought a miniature to paint" ones.
I love how in all his zelda creations that have a tiny link, its just a huge abomination that could probably kill you by just breathing near you, and then a tiny man the size of one of the monster's hair strands, link.
I'm an architecture student been following you for some time now and I'm in love with your work, my question would be since when you've been doing modeling? I'm starting to seriously consider it as my main hobby, you're really inspiring!!
Man, this is so great! I'd love to see you tackle something from a Final Fantasy sometime- maybe Omega Weapon from FFX? One of the Ultimecia variations from FFVIII?
I love your Zelda projects. The Zelda remixes/LoFi playing the background make it all the better. You've played some of my favorite songs during your videos!
As an Australian I can confirm this is a native species that is endangered there are about 20 thousand alive but the aren’t as dangerous as they are made out to be I’ve seen some people ride them
So freaking amazing ! I love seeing some zelda things in clay ! Also for the next sculpture, maybe you can make Koro-Sensei from Assassination Classroom
Pro tip from a polymer chemist: you are right. Acrylated polymers like you were using can’t fully cure in the presence of oxygen. Covering with a layer of water is a neat idea, but there’s another technique that works. After zapping it with your uv light, wipe the surface of your polymer with an ethanol or IPA dampened lint-free cotton cloth. The alcohol quenches the reaction and removes the top-most layer of molecules, leaving behind only those that were cured without exposure to oxygen. The benefit here is that alcohol is crazy volatile and evaporates way faster than water. Excellent work, as always. I love your videos!!
At this point, the passage of time is marked by Friday videos from North of the Border. It seems to come around with alarming swiftness (not unlike Calamity Ganon!) and I'm stunned that somehow there's a new Tiny Nerdy Thing™ every Friday. Congrats on getting sponsored too! You deserve all the recognition and I adore your content! Edit: that UV resin tip made me lose my goddamn mind. Thank you!
been binge watching your stuff. The difference over two years is great. your vids are fantastic. the little comments and then the putting the trolls on blast that i have to pause to read. fing perfect.
First time viewer here... Holy crap, this is amazing! I used to get excited about working with Sculpy in art class in high school, but we never made anything even remotely as intricate as this. Lots of cool techniques I've never even thought of (like the armatures).
Holy CHEESE!!! I've never heard of the UV resin trick and I cannot WAIT to try it out! So many of my pieces end up tacky and it's SO annoying. THANK YOUUUU! Awesome build as always!
he looks crazy with just the major body parts done, thatd be terrifying to fight, i love how how easy you make all this look his weapons look cool as hell
Wow! This is awesome! It’s crazy how you’re able to replica the art style and make it feel like it’s ripped right out of the game! Keep up the great work I love watching these
This is amazing I would never be able to make something like this, you have a really unique hobby and your really good at it! Please make more your doing a great job!!
Jesus, Calamity Ganon's design is absolutely insane. Amazing job, this is so cool. I guess the more insane the design, the more awesome it is to make in clay.
Glorious. Just amazing. I’ve been marathoning all your videos after just discovering you and I don’t even know what to say. You have the patience of a saint, brother. Sculpt on. ✊
Fun fact near Ganons cocoon in hyrule castle (on the sealing) you can see some broken guardians. So that's where the guardian-parts on his body come from
