You talked about the vapor trail giving you the indication of your hits through a spotting scope. Is the trail always visible and is there any distance when it is not?

Lighting and atmospheric conditions seem to play a big part in spotting trace. I like having the sun at our back when we shoot. In some locations it is almost impossible to see so you need to rely on splash for calling misses.
