I haven’t had this type of salad in years! They were a staple at all family gatherings growing up! Thank you so much for sharing! I can’t wait to try this out.
My friend's mother made this salad. But she also added toasted pecans. And also I almost didn't eat it the first time. Because I can't stand marshmallows. and she would put in those Is miniature marshmallows And her secret was adding a good pinch of salt., and it was actually so delicious. I looked forward to it, and then suddenly she passed away. And other family members passed away the same year So I'm trying to figure out how to make this recipe. The way she did because when I do it. The way it's online, it's almost too sweet.

There could be a couple factors of why the salad is soupy. Juicy apples, too much milk in the pudding. The salad is also the best as soon as you make it. The longer it sits in the fridge, the juice from the apples etc, start to make things soupy.
@@InTheKitchenWithDinah Thank you so much with your quick reply. I was thinking the same as my grandson was helping me core the apples and eating one the side. He says “ gramma these are really juicy apples”. Hopefully this doesn’t happen again. ( I was so embarrassed) however, it was still eaten by all.
