I am rebuilding my bird farm because I failed horribly. I now have watched most of your videos and listen to everything you said. I have used your videos for homeschool lessons. So now I am starting over with new coops and runs. So thanks for every video you made and keep making them so I use them for homeschooling lessons every morning.

You might want to follow Nate and Jen at NarroWay Homestead. He always makes really interesting videos, and he's not afraid to talk about "failures" and how to improve stuff (right now his big thing is trying to train his LGD not to eat the duck eggs, or leave the area where the ducks are to go play with the new neighbors puppies, which isn't easy cause Az is still a puppy too).

@@RamenNoodle1985 I will look them up on RU-vid. We do an agriculture lessons for our small chicken pen. I failed to keep humans away from my chickens. We came out and found four of our chickens gone. I know wildlife would do something like that but they would not take down a camera and erase the footage and put it back up. I was really upset about it. So now we have more cameras hidden around where people can't see them but we can see people. We have alarms on coops and fences. And locks. Dogs with warning signs. And emus with warning signs too. I don't know what else to do. My kids were very upset and took a long time to get over the lost of their chickens. I pray no one comes around again. We are planning to add geese soon. I failed to get barn cats and we got over run by rats because the barn out back of my house (which is not mine) got rid of their cows. I didn't notice because I was so busy with my life until I noticed the rats chewed throw a water line under my house. I removed my birds to a friend's place and started over with barn/feral cats, with every trap and poison known to mankind. We had not had or seen any rat or rat carcass in about a month. But now we are planning for coyotes, raccoons, foxes, and fisher cats. I thinking three different kinds of fences and electric fence too. We have motion lights and cameras. And music with a outside dogs. The fencing is on the bottom of the runs with anti dig stakes too. Maybe you have any idea what else we can do to keep wildlife and humans away.

Years ago I bought an old, dilapidated pop up camper for $50... the actual trailer base of it was in great condition, new tires, no rust... I demolished the top portion of it, painted the frame, bought some plywood/lumber, brackets, lights etc... Total spent on supplies was less than $100... I built it the way I wanted it... with features that I wanted... 😊😊😊

7:00 another benefit to boat trailers is that while they are lightweight and durable, they are also built with low centers of gravity (due to their robust frames for holding boats), meaning whatever you put on it isn’t going to tip.

Buttquacks oh geez dude I'm dying 😂 I'm a retired plumber, and people would always ask me why (male) plumbers, more than any other trade, had butt crack issues (or plumber's crack, as it's known) and the answer is, dude, do you have any idea how much stuff we carry in our back pockets? You got your wallet in one pocket, and every hand tool you can carry in the other! It's no wonder their pants droop! They should be wearing suspenders to keep those jeans up 😂

After watching waaaaay to much of the Hoof GP, there are two things I have learned. 1. Maintaining and regular checks of your cattle's feet is super important to their well being. 2. Americans have a lot to learn about the simple things that make cattle super happy, like brushes. Most of the other things you don't need to worry about cause your cows don't live at a dairy.) Cows really seem to love brushes and it is such a simple thing to give them. Glad to see you giving them brushes once more on their happy cow mobile, hope there are plans to made one for all your cattle or at least a mineral/ brush cart.

Morgan - I've got a solution for your problem with the cattle unscrewing the carriage bolts on your happy-cow mobile. It's a product called "loctite". It locks nuts onto bolts so that they don't unscrew easily. It comes in two "flavors", red and blue. The red is "permanent", for things you don't expect to unscrew. The blue is not as strong and is for setups that might need to be changed. I hope this helps.

Morgan, I truly enjoy the videos you make about a your days on your farm. You work hard and take such good care of all the animals. I like seeing that. In one of your videos I watched, you mentioned that you were thinking of adding different animals to your farm some day. I think that's great. I would like to mention two or three animals that you might consider. 1.) How about a couple of donkeys? They are effective herd protectors. They are also hard-working, strong animals to use for tilling soil, or pulling carts, etc. They generally have a good temperament and are good around people. 2.) How about two or three goats? You know their milk is tasty. 3.) How about meat rabbits? I have eaten rabbit before, taste just like chicken, lol. I also thought of some plants to consider planting. .) How about blueberry bushes? Lots of people love them. 2.) How about getting an established Christmas Tree Farm going? I live in Texas, and they bring trees down from northern states to sell. Last Christmas I went to a Christmas Tree Lot and there was a four to five foot tree with a sweet little price tag on it for $135. Needless to say I went home and put up the usual artificial tree I own. But, I think it could be a very profitable crop in a few years. Well that's all I have, I hope you don't think I was being pushy. I hope the best for you and Allison 'cause you're good folk. Have a blessed life!

One way to secure large nuts to a bolt to make it resistant to unthreading, is to use two nuts back to back on the bolt. Thread the two nuts tandem fashion, and touching each other, on that nut, (so that they jam together). On another subject. Have you tried using new, discarded carpet scraps for the cattle to rub on?

I think you should do a nighttime video of the cattle to see how they respond to Toby and Abby suddenly running around and barking when they alert. It would answer the question to how they react to the dogs while on duty. Do they startle? Do they do a bit of running around themselves? Or are they used to it and totally ignore the dogs? You could have a friend or neighbor approach the farm from a distance to set them off if you don't want to wait for something to happen.
