Thanks for doing a talk through. It helps me understand the process better; sound effects and background music do nothing to help me visualize the cooking process; my eyes haven't worked for years, but talk throughs mean I can learn new skills independently and be an awesome homemaker. I've gotta try the pastry recipe; I've got apples that want to grow to be some kind of dessert for my sweet HeroHub.

This was a solid recipe, battled a bit with the butter coming through my dough but I just refrigerated it a bit more. Very yummy

11/21/20 .....Looks good but why didn't you cut into one and taste it like most of the bakers do so we can see what it looks like.....and see your expression when you taste it and your response..... five of the blogs I watch for sure do this.and their fans love it....;)

Why do you coat the whole surface with egg wash?

The egg wash holds everything together and allows the surface to cook evenly. Plus it’s pretty 😉

450 degrees might be a little too high.

It worked well for me, my oven and my climate. You’ll have to experiment with times and temperatures in your climate.

Is there anything to replace the egg wash wish, I'm allergic! They look great & I want to try it but sure wish I could achieve that glazed look without it coming from egg wash!! Thanks for the post.

Yes! Try a corn starch wash or omit the wash altogether 😉
